There is     1     lovely panda. She lives with her parents and they lead a happy life in the forest. One day the panda     2     (pick) a huge pumpkin and wanted to take it home. But the pumpkin was too big for her     3     (take) it home on her own. She could do nothing but sit beside the pumpkin. She thought     4     if she waited there, she might turn to a passer­by for help.

Suddenly, she saw a bear     5     (ride) a bike towards her. She watched the bike and suddenly, she jumped and shouted     6     (happy), “I know! I have a good idea—I can roll (滚动) the pumpkin. Friendship is an important theme in all kinds of art.     1     straightforward or implicit（含蓄的), it shows up in poetry from around the world.

The seven-character poem To Wang Lun,     2    (write) by Tang poet Li Bai(701-762), is a good example of poetry that     3    (carry) this theme. It describes a scene in which the poet’s friend Wang Lun, hurries to see him off,     4    (show) true friendship.

While the poem starts with ordinary images, it ends with passionate and sincere emotions. Li uses simile（比喻) to state that     5     deep the water may be, it still pales in front of their deep friendship. The poet aims     6     (avoid) praising the friendship directly,     7     would be much less poetic.

The first two lines give us background information. Li is on     8     boat, about to travel.     9    (sudden), he hears someone singing on the shore. The starting lines are so plain and simple that they almost read like prose(散文).They even contain names, something rarely     10     (see) in traditional Chinese poetry. It shows Li’s character—he is free and wild.

Taking a plane can be stressful, and it is made even more so when something unexpected happens-unless you get    1    angel on Earth, like one father did. After    2    （try）to check in for an upcoming flight with his daughter, the man    3    （tell）that his 2-year-old daughter would need her own ticket. He    4    （think）she was free of charge because of her age. The father was    5    （obvious）depressed, saying he didn't have the money, and walked away to make some phone calls. “Don’t be afraid to be different. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box.” And Green is speaking from experience. “I never thought I could have an impact     10     somebody else’s life.”

Mary will never forget the first time she saw him. He suddenly appeared in class one day,     1    ( wear ) sunglasses. He walked in as if he     2    ( buy ) the school. And the news     3    ( quick ) got around that he was from New York City.

During my childhood, whenever the sun dropped and the blue sky came up, my father and I would climb the mountain near our house. This has     2     (large) influenced my life.     3     the mountain-climbing, we couldn't have had enough time to spend together because my father was busy.
