As we all know, friendship plays a important part in our life. If we have close friend, we can not only share happiness with them but also get support and encouragement from them, that can make us live a much happier life. Unluckily, many young people misunderstood the meaning of friendship. They think anyone who help them escape punishment is a friend. In my opinion, a good friend is a friend who is honesty and willing to give you a hand when you in trouble. He or she is always telling you the truth and is willing to help you correcting mistakes. I received a handwritten letter from the friend last week. I got one or two when I was a child but I never expect to receive one again. In this rapid changing world, in most case we use social media to keep in touch. The letter reminded me that this form of communication still exist, and that there are reasons in it to exist. People today are connected more, and the pictures I post on our social media accounts that are widely viewed by people we don’t even know. However, letters represent a slow pace and allow us control what we tell our friends. In this way, our conversations don’t involve so many irrelevant things, but the slow pace makes the contact long-lasting.

The other day, my roommate and I have our appointments for vaccine（疫苗）. I was OK that day, but next morning I had some reactions—I started to feel uncomfortably. I'll never forgot the day I met my best friend. I walked into the classroom and noticed we had new classmate. She had long black hairs and there was a big smile on her face. Phoebe is from London and studies in our class as exchange student. She has been learning Chinese for the last three years, but she still fails in the final exam last week. Our teacher said she still had to learn for a lot in her new language, what made her very upset. See this, I tried to comfort her and gave her some suggestion on how to improve her language skills so she can get a good grade next time. She was so moving and had tears in her eyes. Late, I got a beautiful email from her where she expressed her thanks for my kind. I'm not sure exact what to write back but I felt very happy.

This summer, I attended a journalism-themed summer camp, where I learn a lot.
What impressed me most was the interviews carrying out in the street. In the beginning, I wasn’t used to talk to strangers. But with my teammates encouragement, I was able to communicate smooth with them. Then we were noticed most of the answers we got were brief. After a discussion, my teammates and I realized that was why our questions weren’t open-ended enough. So we changed their questions and our interviewees were more willing to share their ideas with us in end.
From this experience I’ve gained several skill for interviewing people as a journalist.
