We had a specially Teachers’ Day this year. Several days before Teachers’ Day, my classmates and me had a group meeting to decide how we could do to celebrate it. One of my classmate came up with the idea of making a short video about the daily life of our headteacher, to which we both agreed. We get down to filming immediately after the meeting. The evening before Teachers’ Day, I edited the movie on my computer and added to some background music. When the video was eventually showing on Teachers’ Day, our headteacher was greatly moving and we students also enjoyed it. It was indeed unforgettable Teachers’ Day.

At Christmas Eve, Jim went with his father to choose a Christmas tree. They choose a big one. It was almost as taller as the room! They put them in the corner of the sitting room. Kate was decorated it with a lot of Christmas gift. The sitting room looked really beautifully at the moment. There was a fire burning in the fire place, but the Christmas tree lights were shinning brightly. Both Jim and her parents singing and dancing happily.
With the Spring Festival come, there will be a long winter holiday. Therefore, I am not going to travel anywhere, because of I don’t want to join the crowds. Instead, I just want to stay at home and enjoyed the family time. I am so delightedly that my grandparents will come to stay with us for few days. So my parents decide to having a family hotpot and invite some relatives together. It is so a great reunion that everyone will have much fun. What’s more, we will drive to our hometown, what is near the city center. There will be fewer people and we can appreciate the beauty of natures.

The Spring Festival, also knowing as the Chinese New Year, is a tradition festival in China. The Spring Festival usually falls in late January or early February. People celebrate them in different ways.
I always come back to home to celebrate the festival with my family. On the eve of the Spring Festival, all the family members will get together or have a big dinner. Then, while watching the Spring Festival Gala, we will play games and talk about which has happened recently until midnight.
On first day of the New Year, people usual wear new clothes and visit their relatives. They said “Happy New Year!” to each other, which is a good way to express their best wish for the coming year.

It was my best friends, Tina’s birthday last Saturday. Maria, Anna and I go to visit her. She lives in Rose Street not far away our school. In the morning we bought some presents and got here by bus. On Women’s Day, my father and I planned to give my mother surprise. We did something specially for her. It is Mother’s Day today. Though it’s a western festival it’s popular in China now. Mom has a full - time job, so she has to do most of the houseworks. She is a great mother. Both Dad or I planned to do something on Mother’s Day. We got up earlier in the morning. Dad cleaned the house, and then went on shopping. When he comes back I found a bunch of flowers in her hand. Four months ago I was walking on the campus while I heard two students saying that Mrs. Wu, our English teacher, would retire next month.

Last Sunday, my friend and I go to a newly-opened supermarket and each of us bought a notebook for our English learning. After that, we went to a restaurant nearby to having lunch. The prices were a bit steep, but we thought it would worth it if the food was good. Sadly, we were disappointing. We waited for our food for over thirty minute. Our sausages were burnt and very dry that we couldn’t even cut them. His friend’s steak was even worse. Moreover, the carpet was out of date and wore, the chairs were very uncomfortable but the walls needed painting. I think we’ll never go to there again.
