Verona Opera Festival

Each year between June and September, the Arena di Verona, a 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, boasts a true celebration of the art of opera with various performances. Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC)

About Summer at Emerson

Summer at Emerson is open to all students, regardless of which school they attend. We offer several individual (独立的) weeks of half-day camps and full-day camps to children who have completed or will end grades K-8 during the 2022-2023 school year. Note: A child who is enrolling (注册) in Kindergarten in the 2023-2024 school year is not yet qualified (能胜任) to attend Summer at Emerson

Emerson School is equipped with (配备有) technology labs, Performing Arts Theater, and gymnasium (体育馆) as well as the outdoor sports fields, and nature areas will be fully used throughout the summer staff of caring and experienced instructors. All camps are designed and run by a professional and counselors (顾问). Summer at Emerson is fully permitted (允许；准许) by the State of Michigan as a child care provider, and the majority of our staff members are CPR and First Aid certified (获得资格的).

June 24th-28th ReCreate Goes to Market(Ages 8-14)

Campers will explore different making skills and through the design thinking model, use those skills to invent something for the purpose of selling. Skills will include 3D Design, design and use of logo, T-shirt design, programming and more. They will get marketing and budget (预算) skills along the way. This fast-moving camp was a huge hit last year!

July 8th-12th Girl-Powered Tech Club(Ages 8-13)

This camp is to give girls a chance to develop and sharpen their skills in programming and understanding technology. They will explore computer skills and more, in an open and fun camp! Girls will bring their robotic animals “to life” through the use of programming and artistic expression.

In ancient times, people did not have good medical resources. So they wrote their health problems on paper kites. When a paper kite was in the air, people would cut off the string to let it fly away, meaning the disease would go away. Later flying kites developed into a popular game in spring.

Three Hous

The ancient Chinese people divided the fifteen days of the Spring Equinox into three hous or five day parts. As the old saying goes, “Swallows fly back to the North in the first hou; thunder cracks the sky in the second hou; lightning occurs frequently in the third hou, which shows the climate feature during the term.”

Spring Vegetables

It is a commonly practised custom to eat spring vegetables in many regions of China Spring vegetables refer to the seasonal vegetables that differ from place to place.
