Before we think about rule boundaries (界线) for teenagers, we need to make sure that we have a really good relationship base. There's no point saying “From now on, you have to listen to me”: if you don't have a positive relationship with your teenager. We need to go back and make sure there is some degree of shared respect, and some degree of positive communication and enjoyment being together. you do that first, it means that rule boundaries are a lot easier to set up.

Often we're dealing with conflict on the fly. This is not the right time to be dealing with it. We really want parents and teenagers to sit down and think about the kinds of things that may happen in the house before the problems come. The more detailed your rule boundaries are for teenagers, the more likely it is that they are going to follow them. So this means we don't have rule boundaries like “Have the bathroom cleaned”. It needs to be “The floors mopped, nothing on the countertop and the mirrors cleaned by ten o'clock every Saturday”: Rule boundaries need to be written down, and set out ahead of time so the teenager knows exactly what's expected.

In China, the continuous food safety problems have greatly hurt consumers’ confidence in domestic products; therefore more turned to imports. However, problems related to quality of those imported goods also began to show. In July this year, more than 400 batches (批) of food imported from 35 countries and regions were found substandard by the country’s top quality supervisor.

I am also a digital hoarder. My first home screen is filled with apps I use every day-Facebook, Spotify, Twitter, Outlook, Weather, etc. My second home screen has apps that I don’t use quite as much, but still want within easy reach-billing apps, shopping, and smart home apps. My third home screen is where things get complex and out of control, just a mess of games, work and business - related apps, and a ton of diverse data that I keep telling myself I’ll need for that one thing on that one day that has never come and probably never will.

Hoarders fall into different categories. “Collectors” are organized, systematic and in control of their data. “Accidental hoarders” are disorganized, don’t know what they have, and don’t have control over it. The “compliant hoarders” keeps data on behalf of their companies. Finally, “anxious hoarders” have strong emotional ties to their data and are worried about deleting it.

People are more resistant when it comes to actually getting rid of their precious possessions perhaps because they anthropomorphize them, treating lifeless objects as if they had thoughts and feelings.

Leia says removing ageism entirely will ultimately require a fundamental change to corporate culture, which has long tied seniority to skill. “We prize years of experience a little too much, and I don’t think years of experience and skill are necessarily correlated,” she says. “Steve Jobs was 21 when he founded Apple. We don’t know how much younger people actually have to contribute. Hopefully, more employers are realizing it.”
