2 . Yang Xiaoyue and his wife sell fish in a market in Xuhui District. Throughout the years, Yang and his family have stuck to the principle of “being good people”. Yang’s father died when Yang was young. Although the family was poor, his mother always reminded him to help people in need.
The couple are honest business people. Once, a customer told them the fish he had purchased had not tasted right. Since then, the couple have been steaming a fish to ensure it tastes right every time before they sell fish. In Yang’s opinion, customers come to his stall because they believe he will sell good-quality fish. Yang’s fish stall is popular. Some customers continue buying his fish after moving from the neighborhood.
One day, Yang saw a notice, calling for donations to help poor families as he passed by the village committee office of Tianlin. He donated 200 yuan and asked himself: “What else can I do?” Yang and his wife discussed the matter. Eventually, they wrote a letter to the committee, indicating they wanted to provide fish, for free, to families living with special difficulties. Since 2002, Yang and Yuan have provided fish to the disabled and the elderly living alone.
Yang also writes poetry. In one poem, he wrote: “At 28, I decided to be a warmhearted person who sells fish. So far, I have walked to see this world, bringing vigor (活力) wherever I go.” Yang says the most important virtue he learned from his mother is “being kind and honest”. He is determined to pass that virtue to his offspring.

Every June, we renew an annual tradition at our house in a lovely neighbourhood. Our children are given bowls and asked to collect pieces of nature that remind them of the summer. They leave those bowls on the front doorstep and we go for a walk. When we return, we find fairies( 仙子) have transformed the bowls’ contents into ice cream sundaes (圣代冰淇淋).
I’m not certain how this tradition evolved. I think I was making up something about fairies years ago, and it all just sort of happened. But ever since, it has been one of our favourite routine activities, fascinated with its magic.
“When are the fairies coming?” six-year-old Anna had been asking all last June, eager with expectation. Meanwhile, John, nine, was getting wise to fairies and Father Christmas and such silly things. So he was pretty sure about how all the “magic” came about as the evening approached. “You know, I had everything worked out!” He said he would understand if, during our walk, Mum or Dad should forget something and return home or during the walk a parent might have to fetch something in the car. Many times, we were even thinking of telling him the truth but we didn’t. Anna should enjoy the magic.
The evening arrived as expected. The children collected leaves and blades of grass, pebbles, twigs (树枝) and dead insects. We put their bowls on the front doorstep and went off on our walk as usual. But after a while, I pretended to complain that I had forgotten my keys and needed to go back.
John smiled with a knowing expression. “Oh wait,” I added. “I’ve found them! I don’t have to go back.” As we continued on our way, John was beginning to get a bit confused.
Near our house, after exchanging a glance with my husband, I anxiously warned that the fairies might not have arrived yet — we might need to walk for a bit longer. Hearing what I said, John seemed relieved. “Yes,” he said, “they probably hadn’t come!” Yet when we reached the front door, the bowls were in the same place we had left them — filled exactly with ice cream sundaes.

Kyle Semrau came home on the morning of April 12 after an overnight shift feeling light-headed. He told his wife he would be laying low for the day, joined by his 6-year-old daughter, Macie.
On a normal day, Macie would have been at school, but that particular morning she had refused to even get dressed for school, so she stayed home. It turns out that her unexplained want to stay home was for the best.
Later in the day. Semrau collapsed from a medical event that caused him to slip in and out of consciousness. Macie learned her dad was in trouble when she heard him yelling. In a moment while Semrau was conscious, Macie asked her dad for his phone passcode so she could unlock the device. She logged in, opened the browser, and phoned the local police department.
Macie relayed the relevant information, including their address, to Judy Smith, the Eliot Police Department’s administrative assistant who answered the phone.
“That’s really lucky,” Semrau told Boston 25 News. “I still have it saved. If you open up my browser, that’s the way it is spelled, ‘Elliot poliz’. She pushed the call button, which actually goes right to the dispatcher (调度员) here in town.”
The police arrived two minutes after Macie called.
Semrau’s medical emergency was due to issues with his sinuses (鼻窦炎), which led to difficulty breathing, according to Seacoast Online. He is now home and doing well.
“If I can say anything about this whole experience, it’s for everyone to teach kids about awareness. If I hadn’t taught my daughter certain things she wouldn’t learn in school, this outcome could have been completely different,” Semrau told Boston. com. “She is, and will always be my hero.”

One day, when I was having lunch in a restaurant, there was a little boy plays next to me. He was very naughty and was making loudly noise. The boy was enjoying doing that bad thing, because of many people were looking at himself. To my surprised, the mother did not stop her boy but explain that he was just a kid. This is a very classic styles of education for most Chinese parents at present. However, age is not an excuse for kids to do bad things. In my point of view, the boy should educated in time. Only in this way can he realize his mistake, but he will repeat it all the time.

7 . Harry Potter, Thor, a baseball player, and a gentleman in a bowler hat. Logan Houghtelling turned into all of them, in class and way before Halloween—all to bring some cheer to his own life and the lives of his friends.
Life was difficult for the San Francisco Bay area teenager. He worried about his father, a firefighter who was battling wildfires, and missed his friends during the pandemic. “I thought, ‘Well, I know other people are feeling like this. So, why don’t I dress up and try to bring happiness to people?’”
So starting in August, he set out to cheer up his classmates, his family and others who have come to wonder what he’ll wear next for his classes on Zoom. One day, he popped up on screen in a toga(宽袍) and a golden leaf crown; another day, he put on a cowboy hat and a western shirt. In September, he wore the uniform of the Chicago Cubs. He even dressed up as a bottle of sriracha sauce. “I’ve had two teachers who just couldn’t help laughing and couldn’t go on with their lectures,” the 15-year-old said.
Most ideas come from Halloween costumes that he wore previously and clothes from around the house that he adapted with the help of his mother, Meredith Christensen, a primary school teacher. “I’ve actually had friends who I’ve come across in the grocery store that are saying, ‘You haven’t been posting his pictures lately. I look forward to his pictures every day,’” she said.
The Arroyo High School sophomore has also made special appearances elsewhere. While his 12-year-old brother Cody attended a virtual class, he dropped by in the background as the titular(名义上的) character of the “Where’s Waldo?” books.
Houghtelling said that it’s important to try to focus on the positive and help lift others up. “I think there should be people who go out and bring people happiness,” he said. “More people need to do that. We just need to spread positivity.”

The other day, I went home so lately that my mother couldn't afford to wait me any longer. So she began to have a lunch by herself. When I opened the door, my mother seemed to feel a little embarrassing. She hurried to heat the dishes what had already turned a little cold on the table. I stopped her and saying with a smile, “It was not necessary, Mom. I can eat them.” I clearly remembered that my mother had taught me not to cause any trouble to other at any time. In fact, I just didn't want to trouble him any more as she was already too tired from doing the houseworks.

I had a ticket to a show I couldn't attend any long. I was trying to sell it, but I was having a hard time find someone who would pay the full price. Then I notice a young man at the entrance, which was forbidden to enter. I went closer but found out someone had been sold him a false ticket and that he had no money for a new ticket.
I decided to give my ticket him for free. He was such grateful that he thanked me again and again. This expensive, yet simply act of kindness really made his day and me as well.
10 . Echo, a two-year-old Harlequin Dane, has been turning heads everywhere she goes since her owner dyed (染色)her coat purple, blue, pink and green.
Sierra Schoon, a 22-year-old woman from Grand Junction in Colorado, has been coloring her service dog, Echo, using pet-safe dye, ever since the dog was about six months old. The young dog lover said that she uses vegetable-based Arctic Fox hair dye, and that Echo loves to just sit there for three or four hours while she applies the dye. And when they go out for walks, it is quite obvious that the dog also feels quite delighted when people keep staring at her, as they tend to get very confused by her unusual look.
“It becomes a joke that we tell people. When they ask, Oh, is that dog naturally colored this way? We say 'Yeah, she's a Galaxy Dane' Schoon said." You kind of stand there for a minute, look at their reaction and let them stew and then finally tell them, 'No, she's dyed that way'. I never thought that anybody would ever think that a dog would naturally be pink or blue, let alone pink, blue, purple and green.
However, after photos of the unusual-looking Great Dane spread online, people said that they felt sorry for the poor animal. Some accused Echo's owner of using her as a fashion accessory for attention-seeking purposes, and a few even went as far as accusing animal cruelty, saying the owner of this dog should never be allowed to have animals ever again.
In fact, the dyeing has actually helped Echo get over her shyness. Because of her big size most people preferred to keep their distance, and this always made her very nervous, because the Great Dane is extremely friendly. The eye-catching dye makes people more comfortable around Echo, and Sierra said that she noticed a positive change in her personality as well.
