I flew back to New York from a spring break. My flight landed lately in the evening. I decided to taking an airport bus to the downtown area so that I could find a faster and cheap taxi to get home. It turned out that a bus was full of passengers but I was chatting with a few of them. I told that it was unsafe to be waiting for in the street to catch a taxi at midnight. One of the woman in the bus said that her car was parked near the station. So she offered me a ride to my home, drop me safely and did not accept a penny in return. Last year, with Christmas approached, my sisters and I felt quite thrilled. However, one day after Christmas, my father gathered us together. My dance school has a float in our town’s parade (游行) every year. I was so exciting when I got been selected to be part of the special dance. There was no water supply in my neighborhood today. Fortunately, the water came at 10:00 pm. When I went to the bathroom, I notice water running from the waste water pipe upstairs. I paid no attentions at first. But half an hour late, the water was still running. I eventually realized that our neighbor had forgotten to turn on the tap. As is known to all, this usual happens during water shutdowns. If I let it go, a lot of water would wasted overnight. So I got dressing and knocked on the neighbor’s door. One day, I was taking the walk in my neighbourhood. There was a great many dogs playing around. I noticed a small one which hairs were pure white. It was a smart dog I couldn’t take my eye off. At that moment a little boy came up and wanted to play with him. Never before had the dog saw the boy, so it started to run after him or barked. In panic, the boy begged the dog not bite him. I went to the countryside to help mine grandparents on the farm on last Sunday. I got up early in the morning and packed my luggages for the trip. On the farm, I helped pick watermelons, tomatoes, but other vegetables. Though it sounded simpler, the work required a lot of efforts. Realizing what hard it was for my grandparents to work in the burning heat, I went out help. I shared this experience with my parents when I came back home. And they were very proudly of me. Now, I deeply understood the truth that labor creates happiness. And I can hardly waited to return to the fields.
