I spent last Sunday fish with my friends. The difficult journey to their destination was well worth it. Beautiful as the scenery surrounding the lake was, but there was hardly anyone else. We random separated into two groups and my team caught more fish. Before cooking them, we had to remove their insides. It feels like an adventure when I did a job. After eating, we packed all the things which had been left into our bags, on the purpose of protecting the environment. When leaving, I had mixed feelings. I didn’t mind staying several extra day, but it was also nice get home to my warm bed.

As a little child, I liked to stay at my grandparents’ home during the summer holiday. That impressed me was helping them with their housework and farm work. Beside, I usually did my homework for only an hour in the evening. I spent most of my time played with the kids in the neighborhood. We go fishing together and explored the nearby forest several time. I also taught them to learn speaking English. We even used English to communicate each other. By the end of the holiday, they could have a simply conversation in English. For this, their parents came to thank me. In a brief, in our childhood, we really felt relaxed and enjoyed us.
Last weekend has witnessed my active participation in the community service with my classmates, the theme of them was “Caring for the Elderly”. As scheduled, we arrived at the nursing home on the morning, where we helped mop the floor, dust the furnitures and clean all the windows. After that, we made dumplings with the elderly, chat together happily. Tired although I was, it was rewarding and meaning. Not only did I bring joy to them, but also I found confidence in keeping their company. It is voluntary labor which enables me to understand the Chinese traditional virtues. To be frankly, I have benefited from it greatly.

To make our life colorful, my classmates and I took part in a picking activity on a farm locating in the suburb of our city on last Sunday.
Upon our arrival, we were all deep attracted by that we saw. Lovely fruits, such as peaches and cherries, hang on the green branch, which made us really excited. As soon as they were divided into small groups, we worked separately. As time passed by, the activity came to end and all of us gained various fresh and tasty fruits. Spring has come with all its beauty! Trees have turned green or flowers can be seeing everywhere. Last Friday, my friends and me went on a spring outing. It was such a great fun! We cycled along the streams and down the paths. It didn’t take us long to get the foot of the mountain, that we left our bikes. Then we begin hiking. Last Friday, our grade held a fun sports meeting, that aim was to relieve us senior three students from pressure. I, as well as my best friend, were asked to compete in the three-legged race.
The three-legged race required effective cooperation among teammates. Thus, during the days before the competition, we practised the game after the school.
Then came the big days. With my left foot and my friend’s right foot tying together, we set out fast as soon as our PE teacher blown his whistle. The playground was filled with our schoolmates cheers. A few minutes later, we tried hardly and crossed the finishing line quickly. By getting involved in the game, not only we get a little leisure from our busy school life but also we got the joy of working together with others.

Last summer, my family took short trip to the countryside. After drive for two hours, we arrived at a mountain lake. The scenery is breathtaking. We hiked, picnicked or swam in the lake. At night, we roasted beef in the starlight. The next day they visited a village, ate at a farmhouse and picking fruits. Though short, it was relaxed. I enjoyed nature and being with family. Traveling and trying some new thing make family trips meaningfully and unforgettable. How I look forward to one more such trip in the near future again!

I visited Mountain Dragon with several classmate today. We arrived at the foot of Mountain Dragon on half past nine and spend nearly one hour in climbing. We could see flowers and grass all the way up and the air in the mountain smelt very freshly. We did not feel tiring at all. When we got to the top, and we were all wet with sweat. We sat under a tall tree to have rest, drinking some water and eating anything. There were several temples in the mountain. Monks (僧侣) in a temple was singing. We watched for a longer time because we had never seen this before. It was really a beautiful mountain.
