4 . There are many kinds of book clubs where members discuss a different book every month. What about dinner clubs, where people get together once a month or four times a year to make and eat dinner? In the dinner club that I joined, the hostess of the dinner club would prepare a big dinner first. Then the members would begin discussing the food.     1    .

There are two variations of a dinner club. One has a group of people who try a different restaurant once a month.     2    . When they all meet, they order and share different dishes. This is a great idea, especially if you live in a big city where there are hundreds of different restaurants.

    3    . One way is to have the hostess for the month decide on a type of food. The hostess is responsible for cooking the entrees. The other members make different courses at home, like salad and dessert, and bring them to the dinner club. For an even more exciting and interactive type of dinner clubs, the entire group comes together in the hostess’ kitchen.     4    . In this way the members of the group not only learn about different types of food, but also different methods of cooking.

The great thing about a dinner club is that it serves in many different ways.     5    . Couples can get together for some food and great conversations. A stay-at-home mother can get a couple of other stay-at-home mothers together and start a children's lunch club. If you have a group of friends that love to get together and experiment with different types of food, the possibilities are endless!

5 . Camping is a great way to spend family time. It provides great opportunities for kids to explore new places and try new activities. Even a campsite near home can open up a new world of excitement.     1     If you are looking forward to your camping trip this summer, but are worried about keeping your parents entertained, here are a few easy suggestions.

    2     If you are camping in a mountainous area, try mountain biking. Encourage your parents to bring their bikes along on your camping trip. Flying along together through the bike trails near your campsite will be an exciting experience for you and your parents alike. Remember to bring along your helmet, so your parents don't have to worry about your safety and make sure they bring theirs as well.

Go canoeing（独木舟）or fishing with your parents. Encourage your parents to rent a canoe. You can paddle（划）downstream if you are camping on a river, or you can move across the lake from one shore to another. If your parents like to fish and your camping trip is during the fishing season, bring along your fishing equipment. You can go out in the canoe in the early morning to experience the best fish.     3    

Bring along craft supplies. When you go camping with your family, bring along some basic craft supplies, like paper, glue and scissors.     4     With these treasures you can create craft projects to remember your camping trip. If you are near the ocean you could collect shells with your parents and make a seashell mobile.

Practice your nature identification. If you and your parents share an interest in nature, find a good insect, bird, plant, animal or tree identification book.     5     Collect different species of leaves and try to identify them with your family.

6 . No matter how much experience you have, it's always a good idea for everyone to review boating safety rules before departures. Below are basic boating safety tips for you to stay safe.

Living outdoors gives you the opportunity to learn some survival skills.     4     You may also learn how to protect yourself from mosquitoes and other insects, as well as experience how many material possessions you really can do without.

When it comes to budget vacations, a camping trip is one of the most economical choices for a family getaway. Groceries can be bought ahead of time and once you’ve settled into the campsite, there’s no need to worry about purchasing more food or buying souvenirs.     5     Happy camping!

9 . Enjoyable Family Picnics

Going for a picnic is great at any age． It can either be a simple lunch in the park or a family barbecue at the beach． Whether with little kids or just as a romantic afternoon date， picnics can be fun and relaxing． Just remember to prepare．

Check the weather forecast．    1     Picnics are never much fun when it gets too hot or starts to rain． If it is likely to rain， but you still make up your mind to go， think about bringing umbrellas．

Pick a location suitable for your family's needs． Different locations are for different types of picnics．    2     Choose one with a playground for them， and perhaps some bathrooms nearby． Do you want a quiet afternoon to read， or a park with a big field to play soccer on？

    3     Food is the most important part of a picnic， so don't forget it! Remember to bring any utensils （器皿） you might need， as well as napkins and a garbage bag to clean up afterwards． Bring some books， balls or anything else that could be fun． Finally， don't forget your camera．

Other ideas． If it gets hot in the afternoon， why not try a morning picnic to enjoy the songs of birds in the fresh morning air？    4       It can be fun to have a picnic in your backyard． If you're going on a hike， pack a lunch and turn it into a picnic． But remember to bring extra water!

Remember to prepare， and you'll soon be enjoying picnics wherever you are． But keep in mind that not everything always go as planned．    5    ．

10 . Taking a vacation with friends could turn out to be the getaway of a lifetime or one that’s a total disaster. How do you make sure the trip is a success?     1    . Here are some tips on planning a vacation with friends that’s memorable in the right kind of way.

Establish expectations first

You may think that you and a friend have the same idea of a holiday because you both want to go to the beach, but you might be interested in relaxing while your friend is looking forward to going to nightclubs.     2     or you are setting yourself up for conflict.

Have an itinerary (旅行路线)

When traveling with others, set an agenda ahead of time to avoid any last-minute, tense negotiation.
