I love reading. When I was free, I always read my favorite books. To me joy, books help me understood the world better. I will never to stop the love for reading at any time. There are a number of book for people to read. I like those books on history and literature. Reading history obvious makes me wise. Reading literature widen my view and makes my life amazed. Honestly speaking, I benefit so many from reading. As the saying goes, “Something is learned every time certain book is opened.” Isn’t it a pleasure to start reading from now on?
6 . Teens and younger children are reading a lot less for fun. According to the annual Kids and Family Report, in just the last four years, the number of kids that read for fun has dropped by nearly 10%. Today, barely half of the children in the United States report liking to read for enjoyment.
When it comes to reading, kids can come up with a million excuses as to why they don’t like it. It can be frustrating trying to get your child to read, and it’s easy to rely on unsuccessful methods for encouraging reading Sometimes you tend to nag（唠叨）your child to read， or perhaps bribe（贿赂）him to read by offering him a reward. Unfortunately， these methods often do more harm than good. Nagging can lead your child to feel that he is being forced to read. And while rewarding your child for reading isn’t bad in itself, it shouldn’t be relied upon to get him to read.
It’s similarly important to reserve judgment regarding what your child chooses to read. While it might be your goal for your child to read To Kill a Mockingbird, reading about his favorite band in a teen magazine will also do. Reading is reading, and the more your child does it, the more he will enjoy it. And with increased enjoyment comes more frequent reading.
The best way to get your children to read more is to serve as examples and important guides for them. Research shows that kids and teens who do read frequently, compared to infrequent readers, have more books in the home, more books purchased for them, parents who read more often, and parents who set aside time for them to read.

9 . When I was younger, I was addicted to reading. I could get through a whole book in a day, and used to beg my parents every night to let me stay up late so that I could just finish my chapter. From fairy-tales to thrillers, non-fiction to plays, I enjoyed reading any literature that I could get my hands on.
However, while there are many books for younger children,once you reach your mid-teens the choices become limited. I found myself choosing between books for children that were simple and not that interesting, and adult books that I couldn’t quite understand.
This lack of choice eventually led me to read less and less.When I was in secondary school,the only books I read were ones we were assigned in English class,and I was never very enthusiastic about my teacher’s choices.I thought too much discussion of symbolism and themes ruined the book.Maybe the sky being blue didn’t represent anything;maybe it was just a description!
Fortunately, I realized quickly that deciding to go to university meant I had signed up for four years of reading books. I chose a French literature module in my first year. I started out, thinking I wouldn’t enjoy any of the works we were studying over the course of the year.However,I soon realized that at a university level,the discussion was more fruitful and I found I had a lot to say!And being able to discuss my thoughts with others meant I could better understand the subtle aspects of the plot:yes,even the symbolism and themes.
I began reading again for pleasure, starting with Malcolm X’s autobiography and never looking back. Now, during my year abroad,I spend a lot of my spare time in bookshops and reading in cafes. I’m so happy that I rediscovered my love of books.
