Happy Hour Thursday is the place to be! Meet your friends at the MFAH for the best night of the week. Explore the campus, visit the galleries(画廊), and get a drink at the public house (cash only).
General admission is free on Thursday, and the Museum is open late.
Art Bites I American Painting and Sculpture
Thursday. October 5.6 p. m.—6:30 p. m.
A little art can go a long way! Visit the galleries and enjoy the art. The focus of this Art Bite tour is on American painting and sculpture. Art Bite tours are 30 minutes long and are part of the Happy Hour Thursday festivities at the Museum. This guided tour is included with general admission, which is free on Thursdays.
Glassell Studio School
Courses in art are offered the fall, spring, and summer
The Glassell Studio School offers courses in art history and studio arts for adults ages 18 and older of all skill and experience levels. Studio courses and workshops are available(可得到的) in various forms of media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, digital and film photography, 3D design, and more. The Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo is currently looking for Camp Instructors to help facilitate its summer science camps which operate from June 15th through August 14th. Science Camp: Monday through Friday, approximately 8 am-4 pm each day
After Camp: Monday through Friday, approximately 1:30 pm-6:30 pm each day
Pay: $19.29-$23.67 per hour
Note: All staff are required to be fully vaccinated and boosted, and to wear a mask at all times out of consideration for COVID-19 pandemic.

Site Set-up
8:00 am—11:00 am
You’ll be involved with:
·Installing chairs and tables in exhibitor and author tents.
·Placing and hanging signs.
·Setting up smaller rented tents.
·Helping bring out books for the display.
You’ll be given a map that’ll outline how many tables and chairs are needed in each tent as well as layouts of the tents and stages.
Information Tent
10:00 am-12:00 pm; 12:00 pm-2:30 pm; 2:30 pm-5:00 pm
It’ll be marked on the Event Guide Map you’ll receive upon arrival. You will be paired with a library staff member for these shifts. You’ll help:
·Direct festival guests and answer questions about the schedule, map, authors and so on.
·Hand out event brochures, questionnaires and scavenger hunt(寻宝) cards.
·Get festival prizes for the winners of the scavenger hunt.
Exhibitor Set-up
8:00 am—11:00 am
Your job is to guide exhibitors to their proper booths(摊位) within the marketplace tents and help them carry items to their space if needed. We also need you to direct trucks or carts while exhibitors are unloading to ensure everyone’s safety. The map you’ll receive can let you know where the exhibitor’s booth is.
Walkarounds and Crowd Counting
11:00 am—2:00 pm; 2:00 pm—5:00 pm
You’ll be counting the crowd. The day of the festival you’ll be given a map that shows the different counting zones, and a schedule of when you need to complete the counts. Other tasks include:
·Changing overflowing garbage bags.
·Encouraging festival guests to participate in upcoming author talks and workshops.

Her experiment established that weak interaction did not follow the law of conservation of parity. She was a winner of the first Wolf Prize in Physics and was often compared with Marie Curie, giving her nicknames like the Chinese Madame Curie.
Anita Roberts(April 3,1942—May 26,2006)
She was a molecular biologist who was instrumental in the discovery of the protein TGF-beta. This protein has the potential of playing a double role of blocking as well as stimulating cancer and it helps in the curing of wounds and fractures. Anita Roberts is one of the most-cited scientists in the world.
