Playing mahjong is a traditional Chinese game. Now it becomes popular in the US.

Four Chinese Americans started a mahjong club in New York City to bring Chinese Americans together. It teaches its members (成员) how to play mahjong once a month in China Town. But now the game is popular outside the Chinese American community (群体). Many New Yorkers have fun in the mahjong club.

Alex, a college student in New York City, joined the club. “Playing mahjong can help us get away from our computers and talk to other people face to face.” said Alex. “Everyone in the club is very nice. It’s the coolest way to make friends.”

New Yorkers also play mahjong outside their houses. In some parks, it’s easy to see four people sitting around a mahjong table. They have great fun playing the game and enjoy the fresh air in parks.

Gregg Swain is an American mahjong lover for about 10 years. She wrote a book called Mah Jong: The Art of the Game. “I think mahjong is one of the most popular games in the US because we are all looking for ways to run away from our worries,” Gregg Swain said. “It’s also a better way for young people to get out of their houses and build new friendships.”

Huawei said the vehicles would become driverless between 2025 and 2030. The vehicles will become smart, and it is possible for people to do anything they want in the vehicles.

People can wear a high-tech (高科技的) third eye on their heads. It can tell you if there are obstacles as you walk when your real eyes watch your smartphone. Maybe you can buy it next year. You may have seen people falling into water because of looking at their phones. Well, thanks to the Third Eye, you’ll be able to send e-mails or watch videos (视频) as you walk.
