真题

Fights at school sometimes happen. But how can you keep away from a fight? Here’s something you can do.

Be calm(冷静). Sometimes, you feel so angry that you really want to teach somebody a lesson. But being angry can't solve problems. Neither can a fight. Instead, it may bring you more problems. In the school, everyone involved(卷入) in a fight will be punished, no matter who started it. There are winners in a fight.

Shout loudly. If you know someone is coming up behind you to attack, turn toward the person with your hands up in front of your body and loudly say “stop” before walking away. Loud voice can usually make the attacker calm down. If the person doesn’t stop, cry for help by calling out the name of a teacher whose office is nearby.

____ Your friend may ask you to join in a fight. Learn to say no. Helping him fight is not really helpful to him. If you really want to give him a hand, try to ask him to give it up. Also, you can tell him if he gets involved in a fight, he may get hurt and be punished. Then, try to learn why he wants a fight and help him find a right way to deal with the problem.

23. The underlined word “attack” in Paragraph 3 means “____” in Chinese.
A.拥抱B.攻击C.阻止D.吸引
24. Which of the following sentences can be put in the ____?
A.Face bravely.B.Join in a fight.
C.Learn to refuse.D.Talk to someone.
25. The passage is written to ____.
A.help students keep away from fightsB.warn students not to fight
C.advise students to help each otherD.encourage students to work hard
26. The passage is written in a/an ____ tone(语气).

These days, teens are heavily influenced by the media. Many of them have watched TV for thousands of hours. That’s more time than they spend with teachers at school. And we haven’t yet considered the hours they spend using the Internet or reading newspapers.

However, several studies have shown a serious problem: Today’s teens have no media literacy (媒体素养). In other words, they have difficulty critically (批判性地) thinking about the information they see. One study, which pays attention to middle school students, has found more than 80 percent of them can’t tell the difference between real news stories and ads that look like news.

Stanford professor Kevin John teaches a class called Media Effects. He tries to help his students learn media literacy. The professor gives an example that shows why media literacy matters. In the example, two news stations report a snowstorm. One cares about the terrible road conditions. The other pays attention to kids playing in the snow. “With a news story, news stations tell you what they feel are the important details (细节). These details largely depend on the opinions of the news director,” said John. “A person who has media literacy would realize that each story is about one field at one point. There is more going on.”

Some experts think school is the best place to teach media literacy. Others believe everyone—from parents to news reporters—should help teens learn the skill.

As for the best time to start learning media literacy, many experts suggest being at the age of 12.

But some basic ideas can be taught even earlier. “It’s never too early to start learning media literacy,” said John.

27. Paragraph 2 mainly tells us teens ________.
A.don’t have media literacy todayB.don’t consider some information
C.have difficulty in studying wellD.can compare real news stories with ads
28. Kevin John explains the importance of media literacy by ________.
A.showing his own opinionB.giving an example
C.showing a science studyD.telling a story
29. From the last paragraph, we can know that teens start learning media literacy ________.
A.only at the age of 12B.the earlier, the better
C.when they go to schoolD.after they learn basic skills
30. The passage probably comes from ________.
A.a public adB.a storybookC.a novelD.a newspaper
