★90% of people in the country would like to recycle more.

We think that most people would agree with the following ideas:

★We need to recycle our waste, not use up the world’s resources（资源）.

★It is better to recycle our waste than to burn it or to throw it into the sea.

One of the best things our group can do is to collect the recyclable（可回收的）waste. We will sell this waste to recycling factories and give the money to Friends of the Earth. We would like you to bring your recyclable waste to the school. But if you don’t have time, we will collect it from you once a week.

Two simple words "thank you" have made a big difference to thousands of firemen in New York City.

Savannah is     31     girl from Texas. "I was trying to think     32     I could help them out," she says. After hearing about sacrifices（牺牲）made by firemen, she     33    （move）by the risks they face.     34     Savannah made 200 thank-you cards for them. "I want to show how much I care about them."

"I told the firemen thank you," Savannah recalls. "They're always there to help you."

Savannah decided     35    （keep）making cards. For the next seven months, she woke up early to paint and color and cut. In that time, she     36    （send）1, 600 cards with bite- sized candy while meeting her     37    （hero）. Soon, fire stations started thanking her.

I was walking around in a big store, when I saw a shop assistant talking to boy of 5 or 6 years old. The assistant said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll." Then the little boy turned to me and asked, "Uncle, are you sure I don't have enough money?"

I counted his money and replied, "You know that you don't have enough money to buy the doll, my dear." I asked him whom he wished to give this doll to. "I wanted to give the doll to my sister for her birthday. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there." His eyes were so sad while he was saying this.

"My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too. All was because of a traffic accident." My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said, "I told Daddy to tell Mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the store."

I quickly reached for my money and said to the boy, "I suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money/or the doll." He said, "OK, I hope I do have enough money." I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money. The little boy became very excited.

I left the shop, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever.

I love my mom and I'm sure she is the best mom in the world.
