Do you like eating wontons（馄饨）? They are not only popular in China, but also around the world. You can find them in North America, Southeast Asia and Australia.

Wontons are like dumplings, only smaller. They are a kind of traditional food from northern China. It is said that during the Han Dynasty, the Xiongnu, an ancient tribe in northern China, had conflicts（冲突）with local people on the border（边界）. Hunshi and Tunshi were the two leaders of the Xiongnu. So people began to call their food "huntun" and wish for the end of the conflicts.

In different parts of China, a wonton has different names. In the north, it is called "huntun". In Guangdong, it is called "yuntun". People in Sichuan call it "chaoshou", while in the southeastern province of Fujian, it is called "bianshi".

People usually eat wontons with soup. Sometimes they also deep-fry（油炸） them. You make a wonton with a wrapper ( 面皮 ). You put some fillings in the wrapper, and push the outside of the wrapper together with your fingers. The most popular fillings are pork and shrimp. They taste good.

People around the world felt excited on the night of April 10, 2019. For the first time in history, people saw a photo of a black hole. The photo became popular immediately(立刻). But do you know it has something to do with a computer scientist Katie Boumna? Without her, there wouldn't be this photo. Black holes are very far from us, so it is very difficult to take photos of them. It's like taking a photo of an orange that is on the moon. Many scientists had tried.

However, none of them succeeded. These failures didn't stop Bouman from trying.

Several years ago, she started working on a special computer program. During the past years, she has improved the program many times. Finally, it turned telescope data (望远镜数据) into a photo of a black hole.

Bouman received lots of praise because of her work. However, the young woman said the success mainly depended on(依靠) her team. "None of us could do it alone," she said.

My name is Robinson Crusoe, and I was born in the city of York in 1632. My father was a successful businessman. I had two elder brothers. CCTV reported that every year Chinese people throw away a lot of food which can feed 200 million people for a year.

Do we have too much food? Of course not. According to the UN World Food Programme, there were 900 million hungry people all over the world in 2013. About six million children die of hunger every year.

So we should say no to people who waste food every day. An old saying goes, "Every grain on the plate comes from hard work." It tells us everybody must save food.

Luckily, a number of people have realized the importance of saving food. Li Hong, a waitress in a restaurant in Jiangsu, once lost her job because she took some leftover（剩余的）food home for her son. But many people were by her side and criticized（批评）the waste of food.

What should we do in our daily life to stop wasting food? We can do many things to prevent it from happening. Here are some tips:

Don't order too much food in a restaurant. Only order as much as you can eat. If you can't eat all the food you order, take the rest of it home.

Don't be too picky（挑剔的）about food. Some food may not be tasty, but our body need it.

Don't keep too much food at home, especially fruit and vegetables.
