Many boys dream of flying airplanes when they grow up. But only a few can say they have made their dreams come true when they are still teenagers. At the age of 19, Luke Elsworth was already a pilot around the world.
As a child, Elsworth enjoyed playing with toy planes and had pictures of planes on the walls in his bedroom. His father, who has been a pilot for 32 years, often took him to watch his air shows. At one show, he asked Elsworth what he wanted to be. Young Elsworth answered he wanted to be a pilot.
Elsworth became an air cadet (空乘学员) on his 13th birthday. Five years later, he took part in Easy Jet’s pilot training program in Southampton. There, Elsworth spent almost all of his time practicing. “It is common for young people to have big dreams,” he said, “but to make them come true, we need to take bigger action.”
When people question him if he feels he is too young to be a pilot, Elsworth says age isn’t so important. “I have passed all the training tests and I have a pilot’s license (执照). It means that I am a qualified pilot,” Elsworth says. He encourages young people to do what they want to do. “If there is a train driver who is 18 and has a driving license, I will believe in him,” says Elsworth.
The young pilot’s next step is to become a captain, but he will have to spend at least 8 years before that can happen.

The couple thought that he only wanted to go out so they ignored (忽视) him. However, the dog did not give up until the couple got out of bed. The dog led them to the bedroom of their son Gabriel where they found him unable to move and even couldn’t speak. The couple rushed him to the hospital immediately.
The doctor said Gabriel suffered from a serious stroke (中风). Luckily, he was sent to the doctor in time, or he would have had a worse result.
After a week in the hospital, Gabriel is now getting better and is looking forward to going back to his normal life. And what he wants to do most is to thank his dog for saving his life.
“Axel has always been very clever,” Gabriel said. “He can tell when something is wrong—like if we are feeling down or stressed—and he does his best to fix the problem.”
Because of Axel, Gabriel is not only talking and walking again but is also close to healing completely.
He and his family are very thankful for having such a smart and protective dog. After he went back home, the dog is tasked with following Gabriel everywhere. “He’s now sleeping with Gabriel more and Gabriel’s doors are open so he can go in and out. He’s always been very sensitive to everything and everybody’s emotions at home,” Amanda said.

In those days, a brush was made from camel’s(骆驼) hair. There were no camels nearby. Benjamin decided that cat hair would work instead. He cut some fur(毛发) from the family cat to make a brush.
