Make better plans
If you start to do something, you need to make a plan before doing it. The earlier, the better . You will know what comes first and what comes last. You’ll also know what you should do and what you shouldn’t do. When changes happen, you can have more time to deal with them.
Live a more active life
You can go around more often. More outdoor activities can keep you relaxed and active. You also need to be kind. “Thank you” can bring a smile to someone’s face. Learn to say “sorry” and don’t be angry with others.
Find the right friend
A friend may make your life good and he or she can break your life as well. So you have to think twice when you choose a friend. Good friends will always be better than your ideas.
When you get into trouble, ask others for help. That little help may get you good results.
Never fear failure
Everybody fails. Even the greatest person failed. We should not fear failure, because failure is not the end of the road. We must take failure as a chance to learn and improve ourselves.
Life is good. We don’t have to live in our past, but we do hope that we can plan better, live better, and work better when we have the chance to do so.

To remember words better, you need to understand how memory works. There are two kinds of memory: short-term and long-term. When you see, hear, or read something, it goes first into short-term memory. But short-term memory lasts for only a few seconds. You will only remember something longer if it goes into long-term memory. Your long-term memory is like a very big library with many, many books. And like a library, it’s organized (有条理的). When you put away a book—or memory—you can’t just leave it anywhere. You have to choose a place where you can find it again.
How can you do this with vocabulary? The answer is to work with the word and think about the word in new ways. You can do this by writing new sentences that include it. Even better, you can invent a little story about the word, with people or places that you know. Another way is to make a picture in your mind with the word. For example, if the word is height, you can think of the tallest person you know and try to guess his or her height. All of these activities are good ways to think about words. They make the meaning of words stronger in your long-term memory. And they give a way to find a word when you need it.

Most teenagers in Britain receive pocket money from their parents. They might have to do some housework to get pocket money, including cleaning, cooking, washing dishes and so on.
Part-time work

Parents can put pocket money directly into their child’s bank account. Most banks have a prepaid bank card designed for young people.
Mobile apps
Many companies have made mobile apps for children, including GoHenry, Osper and Gimi. Parents can add money to their children’s accounts and check to see how the money is spent. Children can choose to save their money or spend it using a card. The apps suggest that kids from 8 to 13 can use the cards.

Being the international common language, English has lent itself willingly to be used on social media, experiencing many small but important changes during the process. What are the effects of the social media on the English language?
♦ Old words but new meanings
When someone wants to post something on his“wall”, why do we think of the homepage of his Facebook, and not the walls in his house? This is the magic of social media. We know“friend”is a noun, but now it's also used as a verb. “friended”and“unfriended”mean the process of adding or deleting someone from your list of friends.
♦__________________________
Social media has invented new words like“selfie”or“emoji”to describe the new things. The most famous of these words perhaps is “google”which is used more than the old-fashioned simple word“search”.Generally speaking, a new word should be in use for at least 10 years before being entered in the Oxford English Dictionary. However, the dictionary officially included the word“tweet”.
♦Introducing acronyms(缩略词)
LOL (Laugh Out Loud). OMG (Oh My God) and BRB(Be Right Back)are examples of acronyms, the same as IDK(I Don’t Know)and TTYL(Talk To You Later). We need them to be short in length on social media, so we use acronyms to take the place of these phrases.
Social media is without doubt here to stay. In the future, it's likely to develop to a greater degree and take the English language along with it on the road of development.
