Today, I want to tell you about a discovery that was made not so long ago. Take a look at this picture. This is Hang Son Doong—the world’s largest cave(洞穴).
I first heard about this place when I saw an unbelievable video of it online.
Hang Son Doong is in Vietnam. Its name means “Mountain River Cave. “ How big is it? Well, it’s more than 5 kilometers long. 200 meters high, and 150 meters wide. In some places the cave is big enough to fit a jumbo jet(大型客机)inside! The cave was created by a river which has eaten away the Limestone(侵蚀了石灰岩)of the Annamite Mountains.
How was it discovered? Nobody knew about this place until a local man named Ho Khanh found it by accident in 1991. And it was only in 2009 that the cave became internationally known after a group of British scientists went there to study it. Inside the cave, the whole forests cover the cave floor, and 300-million-year-old fossils(化石) have been found inside. It is amazing that the cave is so large that it even has its own weather system(系统).
Very few people have been inside the cave although it has been open to the public since 2013. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to go there myself one day. It looks like a truly magic place.

Walking along the river banks, you'll see the Amalienborg Palace first. The king's family is living there.
Churches and castles show us the original (最初的) city. Copenhagen became the capital of Denmark in 1445. But fires in 1728 and 1795 completely destroyed (摧毁) the old wooden buildings. Much of what we see today dates back to (追溯到) the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Keep going, and you'll see the Christiansborg Palace. The town of Copenhagen began there. Then you will see Nyhavn (尼哈芬), a waterway, which was dug in 1673.When you see it, you'll understand why Hans Christian Andersen made this beautiful waterway his home. Now the school bus wears a special colour—yellow. Many people ask why it’s yellow. The answer is to make people notice the bus. People can easily see this colour on the road, especially on rainy days. By making the school buses the yellow colour, people can see these buses on the road more easily to make students much safer.

However, not everything goes well with them. In the first half of last year, seventy-six traffic accidents in total about deliverymen happened in Shanghai. That means every two and a half days, a deliveryman will get hurt or even lose his or her life on the road.
“What makes deliverymen take such risks? The strict rules of the food delivery service and the impatient customers are the two reasons. Many companies (公司) will fine a deliveryman up to 2,000 yuan if he fails to be on time,” reported by China Daily. Fines also go to those who get bad comments from customers.
“To solve this serious problem, delivery service companies need to improve their management systems and also some rules or laws should be made to avoid deliverymen breaking traffic rules,” according to CRI Online. Some cities have already taken actions. For example, some companies in Shanghai have set some courses for their deliverymen to study traffic rules. Those who have a ▲ of climbing high and difficult mountains are often looked upon with astonishment. Why are men and women willing to suffer cold and hardship, and to take risks in high mountains? This astonishment is caused, probably by the difference between mountaineering and other forms of activity to which men give their leisure(闲暇).
Mountaineering is a sport and not a game. There are no man-made rules, as there are for such games as golf and football. There are, of course, rules of different kinds which would be dangerous to ignore(忽视), but it is this freedom from man-made rules that makes mountaineering attractive to many people. Those who climb mountains are free to use their own methods.
If we compare mountaineering with other more familiar sports we might think that one big difference is that mountaineering is not a “team game”. We should be mistaken in this. There are, it is true, no “matches” between “teams” of climbers, but when climbers are on a rock face linked by a rope on which their lives may depend, there is obviously teamwork.
The mountain climber knows that he may have to fight forces that are stronger and more powerful than man. He has to fight the forces of nature. His sport requires high mental and physical qualities.
A mountain climber continues to improve his skills year by year. A skier is probably past his best by the age of thirty. But it is not unusual for men of fifty or sixty to climb the highest mountains in the Alps. They may take more time than younger men, but they perhaps climb with more skills and less waste of effort, and they certainly experience equal enjoyment.

“Choose a character in the play whom you’d like to be,” she told us. “This afternoon learn a few lines(台词) of this part for homework. Then tomorrow you can say those lines in front of the class. I’ll decide who play each part.”
I wanted to have one of the bigger parts in the play, so I choose the part of the king. He has a lot of lines to say. I learned them by heart.

In the UK, friends have sleepovers very often. Some have them once every weekend or just once every month. When you want to have a sleepover with your friends, your parents can call or text your friends’ parents to ask about a suitable date. Then, you have to arrange(安排) whose house you'll stay at — your own or your friends’ house. The last step is to finish your homework before you get together with your friends so you can enjoy your time together.
But there is one problem: What if the parents don't want so many children to be in the house all day? Well, parents can find somewhere to take the children. It could be a park, a swimming pool, a theater or just somewhere down the road.
There are many fun games you can play with your friends at a sleepover. You can have a water fight in the garden. You can play hide-and-seek in the house.
