1 . With no doubt, good health is a priceless thing. When we are healthy, we can learn, work, and support ourselves and our families. When we are sick, we fight, and our families and societies fall behind.

That’s why the World Health Organization is needed. Working with 194 Member States, across six regions (地区), and from more than 150 offices, WHO staff are joined together in an agreement to make better health for everyone, everywhere.

2 . Nowadays, it has grown into a habit for many people to put every thought online when anything unhappy happens. However, it is important for people not to express every little thought that comes in their heads. Here are some interesting explanations.

The problem with expressing our every thought and feeling is that they can often change quickly. I may be angry with someone at this time, but that feeling will be gone the next day. For example, when I finally drove home last night, I happened to find my neighbor had taken my parking place by mistake. I was quite mad then, so I let everyone know it by posting it on WeChat. But today, that feeling is completely gone. I am not angry at all.

Too many things take place in one day, so not every problem needs to be paid much attention to. What will happen if we still keep spreading terrible feelings online, even if the problem is not that important? Actually, it’s all right to let go of some problems.

Moreover, communicating with words doesn’t always work. For example, I have three children. Trying to correct their habits by speaking to them directly is almost useless. Instead, my husband and I try to lead by examples. Sometimes they learn from it, and sometimes they don’t. But in many situations, setting a good example works much better than simply talking.

What can people do if they have disagreement when getting along with others? There are always two choices: they can either argue, or they can just walk away. Arguing is often a waste of time while walking away protects you from saying something that you may regret later. Our goal is to use every one of our words to cheer others up. So always think carefully before speaking. This way, the world will be a more peaceful place.

C.people can argue or walk away when they have disagreement
D.we are free to express ourselves and never regret

4 . People are playing video games everywhere these days, whether they're riding a bus or sitting in a restaurant. Some of them enjoy these games so much that they can't put them down. But is this a healthy habit? The World Health Organization (WHO) doesn't think so. In June, it recognized“ gaming disorder(障碍)” as a mental disorder in its International Classification of Diseases, CNN reported.

"Gaming disorder means continuous or repeated video-gaming behavior, whether online or offline. Of course, not everyone who plays video games has this disorder. It has three main signs.

The first sign is when the player loses control over his or her gaming habits. The second is when playing games becomes more important than other activities for the player. The third is when the condition leads to serious problems in the player's personal and family life.

In fact, some countries are already working to solve this problem. South Korea has introduced a law banning (A iE) children under 16 from playing online games between midnight and 6 a.m., USA Today reported. Chinese tech company Tencent is also setting limits on the amount of time that teenagers can play its games. Children between 12 and 18 years old can only play two hours every day.

If you have “gaming disorder", you should ask for professional medical (E 7) help. But if your condition is not that serious, you don’t have to see a doctor. You can use delayed satisfaction to deal with it.

For example, if you want to play video games on weekdays, you can wait to play them during the weekend for three hours. Or if you really want to play them after school, you can tell yourself that you cannot do so until you have finished your homework.

5 . Cold weather has a great effect on how our minds and our bodies work. Maybe that is why there are so many expressions that use the word “cold”.

For example, people who show no human emotions or feelings are said to be cold-blooded. Cold can affect other parts of the body. But the expression “get cold feet” has nothing to do with cold or your feet. The expression means being afraid to do something you have decided to do. For example, you agree to be CEO of a company. But then you learn that all the other officers have resigned (辞职), and all the work of the company will be your responsibility (责任). You are likely to get cold feet about being CEO when you understand the situation.

The expression “give someone the cold shoulder” probably comes from the physical act of turning your back toward someone, instead of speaking to him face to face. You may give the cold shoulder to a friend who has not kept a promise he made to you, or to someone who has lied about you to others.

“A cold fish” is not a fish. It is a person. But it is a person who is unemotional and shows no love or warmth. A cold fish does not offer much of himself to anyone. Someone who is a cold fish could be cold-hearted. He or she will never feel sorry for those in bad situation.

“Out in the cold” means not getting something that everybody else got. A person might say that everybody but him got a pay raise — he was left out in the cold. And it is not a pleasant place to be.

D.Mary behaved unfriendly because she didn’t like to talk with Henry face toface
3. What’s the passage mainly about?
