1 . Shanghai is one of the largest cities in the world. If you like sightseeing, you’ll enjoy it. People’s Square is in     1     centre of Shanghai. There     2     birds, fountains and green grass in the large public area.

The Bund is where old Shanghai meets new Shanghai. You can see many old buildings     3     you walk along it. The Pudong New Area has many modern buildings. At night, these buildings light up the sky in every direction.

Yu Garden is a traditional garden     4     many beautiful buildings, bridges and ponds. You’ll love     5     if you enjoy history and natural beauty. You can also buy different snacks outside the garden.

2 . The popular saying goes that “Up in the sky there is heaven (天堂), down on earth there are Suzhou and Hangzhou.” Hangzhou has always been a dream place     1     many people to live in or visit. Millions of people visit Hangzhou every year. Luckily, I got a chance to visit the famous city myself last August.

Hangzhou is     2     for its beautiful scenery, such as West Lake. Covering an area totaling 6.5 square kilometers, there are many natural     3     historical places around West Lake.

    4     a breeze (微风) blows over the lake, ripples (涟漪) spread just like plenty of fairies dancing on the water. But soon, they disappear and the lake     5     to peace. Due to its unique charm, many poets in ancient China wrote many poems about West Lake with their words which     6     perfectly chosen.

While aboard a boat on the lake, I could not     7     reminding myself of the story of Su Causeway (苏堤) which was built by our famous poet Su Shi. He     8     it for preventing the flood. The local people named the bridge Su Causeway in     9     of what he did for them.

My trip to Hangzhou opened my mind and gave     10     many unforgettable memories. So if you’ve never visited this city, why not arrange a pleasant trip like me?

3 . San Antonio, Texas is an interesting city in the USA. You can do many interesting things there.     1    of all, you can visit many museums. You can get much knowledge there, such as the history of Texas     2    you can know the culture of the city better. Second, if you are     3     in animals, you can visit two famous places. San Antonio Zoo is a     4     choice. It has several animal shows in the daytime. You can     5     Sea World in San Antonio, too. You will have fun with sea animals in     6    .

Downtown San Antonio is also a fantastic place to visit. There you can     7     a trip to an old church. You can also travel to a great place—the Riverwalk. You can walk     8     the river and see beautiful sights. You will find many places to sit, talk and drink something on the way. You can     9     different kinds of food at the same time. For example, you can try delicious tacos, meat and hamburgers. Of course, you can     10    to Mariachi music. You will never be tired in San Antonio. Come and visit it!

4 . Hawaii has always been a magic name to people who like traveling. People from all over the world     1     of seeing the beautiful islands in the middle of the ocean. It is always one of     2     dreams to watch the sun going down. The sun drops like a ball of bright fire into the sea and it drops so     3     that you can even see it move.

About two thousand years ago, the first people went to Hawaii in a very small boat. They     4     the beautiful white sand beaches and the waving palm (棕榈) trees, but it was difficult for people to go to Hawaii at that time. Mike and Clare are from America. They live in Cairo, the capital of Egypt,     1     their father works there now. So far, they     2     (be) to many places in Egypt. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. It lies on North Island     1     a population of a million people.
