On August 5, 2021, Chinese sportswoman Quan Hongchan became the youngest Chinese diver (跳水运动员) to win a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Quan was born on March 28, 2007 and     1     up in the small village of Maihe, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. She is the     2     among the five children in her family. Quan started diving     3     the age of 7 in Zhanjiang and joined the Guangdong provincial team in 2018. Quan has     4     almost all her time on hard training. She had never been to any     5     or parks before 2021.

A trip to the Luofu Mountain

On 9th September, my friends and I went to climb the Luofu Mountain. We looked     1     to the top of the mountain.

At 8:00 am we arrived at the foot of the mountain. We got     2     of the car. We went     3       the gate. Then we came to a pool with beautiful fountain springs. There is a big temple. It is     4       for Buddhism (佛教). Millions of people visit the temple every year.

There are all     5    of plants in the mountain. Most of the trees are several hundred years     6     . Many birds are     7       in the trees. The trees are tall and big. The air is very     8    .

After a long climbing we were all     9     . But we didn’t give up. At 11:50 am we got to the       10    of the mountain at last. We were very happy to enjoy the distant scenery. We took some photos in order to remember the wonderful experience.
