We do make too many contributions. I no longer have a social life and I hardly have any time for myself. My husband and I hope she sticks to it, though, because it teaches discipline, hard work, helps her fitness and builds friendships with her teammates. I do fear adding up the cost (费用). I often think about what I could do with that money, but I love seeing her on the stage.

7 . Volunteering in Indonesia was more than a simple experience. It was an opportunity for me to _________ myself as I had never done that before. I met some of the most _________ people on the planet who fully shared their stories. Together we had the great chance to _________the country, its people and its _________ environment.

Before starting the education work in Bali, I was given a week to experience Balinese _________ in a small and nice village. 8 . When I was a boy there were no smart phones or computers. Still, I never felt ________. The fields, hills and woodlands around my home were the perfect playground. It was full of muddy tyre tracks and deep woods bordered it on both sides, but ________ it still seemed like a fine adventure.

I continued to walk on with the fear growing inside of me. My heart was ________ faster and my legs were aching more seriously than before.
