Last Saturday, I went to watch the final of the 4×100-metre relay race in our stadium, where I visited for the first time. The experience left a deep impression to me. I had never been imagined that the atmosphere could be so intense. Everyone went wildly when the runners set off! We all stood up and started cheering and shouting. Held their sticks tightly, the runners ran as fast as they could. The race was over in just one and a half minute. It was Li Chong that first crossed finish line. On the afternoon of last Friday, the English speech competition, organized by our English club, was held in our meeting hall. I have changed a lot since I take up running. Before I started running, I seldom did exercise. As a result of, I often fell ill. Once I was very weak that I fell down when having a P. E. class. From now on, I decided to exercise to make me strong. I kept running every morning whenever the weather was like. After running for half year, I found that I seldom caught a cold and I was much healthy than before. So far, I've learned that exercise is extreme important. I start playing Pingpong from an early age. It was my father who taught me play Pingpong. The first time when I saw my father play it, I fall in love with it. What is the difference between a good athlete and a great one?
A sports psychologist suggests there are three things that all great athletes have on common. First, they were not afraid to compete other people. Second, great athletes are those which are positive about them and their abilities. Great athletes know that how to deal with stress. They are unable to cut out things in daily life that adds to their stress, such as unhealthy food or bad friendships. Finally, great athletes have the mental strength to focus on which is the most important.
Great athletes set a example to us not only in how to play sports well but also in how to live well.
When it was warm, our PE teacher took us to do outdoor sports. There were a football field together with a basketball court or running tracks, etc. in our school. I was good at running and loving to feel the air in my hair as I was approaching the finish line. It was also nice to have rest under the large trees and watch my classmate competing with each other. But not all memories of sports made me joyfully. One annoying memory was related to football. Once, someone hit the ball on his head heavily in a football game for two times. Besides, I had to sit on the bench for the rest of the game to stopping dizziness.

I was so proud that I heard my team won the ice hockey competition. It made me feeling like I could achieve anything. Only three years before, I was terrified of walking or skating on ice. To deal with this, I decided to join skating club. My teacher was great but before I knew it, I was able to skate. He then persuades me to try ice hockey. I loved it and was soon practising with my local team on almost every evening. We’re now training hardly for national competitions and hope to be champion one day, but his ultimate goal is to be an ice hockey teacher and help people learn to play this game.
