To enrich students’ school life, an excited competition was held on last Saturday on the school playground. Tai Chi is a series of slow movement that are aimed at training us physically and mentally. However, nowadays its martial aspect is not that popularity. It is practiced by thousands of people around a world most because of its miraculous effects of human health. It is often called “meditation in motion” because of it combines the body’s movements with a calm and meditative state of mind.

Hello, everyone! It’s my great honor to talk with the benefits of Taichi, my favorite physical activities.
To begin with, Taichi helped stretch our muscles, improves our body’s range of movements and makes us to have a lower risk of diseases. What’s more, Taichi can help us get over negative feelings whatever we feel sad.
But as for me, a year of practising Taichi has positive effect on my everyday life. I sleep well at night and I am more energetic during the day. Besides, Taichi has taught us to relax my mind, enabling me to stay calmly in stressful situations. I am sure I’ll continue to practise Taichi but enjoy the benefits it has brought me.

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, running. I only take it up a few months ago thanks to my colleagues whom are professional runners. I spend more than two hours run every afternoon. There are several reasons why I am fond this sport. First, it is the pretty cheap and easy sport to try. All I need is a pair of running shoes. Second, this is a sport that can bring us some new friends. Third, since I started this sport I have hardly caught any more common health issue like fever, flu, or cold. I like running. Ever since I am in third grade, I have been trained as a long-distance runner. Last year I decided run in a ten-kilometer race, for which I practiced hard. At the day of the race, I ran fast than I ever had in the past. When I approached to the last kilometer, I was one of the first runner to finish. I picked up the pace and quick reached second place. With all my strength, I went dashing to the finish line, and I wasn’t fast enough. As the result, I got a silver medal, that I thought was the same as the one that the guy who came in first place had.

On hear the gun, they all started, not very fast, but at most with excitement. Then all of sudden, one boy who fell on the ground began to cry. The others eight runners heard the boy. They slowed down and looked back. They all turned around and went back to her. One girl bent down and helped him up gentle. All nine linked arms and walk across the finishing line together. Everyone in the stadium stood on their foot, and the cheering went on for several minutes. And I was deeply moved by the scene.

I suggested that our school should take measures to encourage more students to take a part in sports. For us students, no matter how busy they are, it is necessary to spare any time to do exercise.
