This year I enter the Great Gorilla Run in London. This is a programme run by The Gorilla Organization to raise money save the world’s last remaining gorillas from die out. Each runner received the gorilla suit and off we went! It was a bit hot and sweat inside the suit, and my legs ached, and it was interesting. The funniest moment was that someone watching the race offered I a banana — a real treat for a running gorilla! I had a great day out of in London, as well as helping to save gorilla!

To inspire us students to take exercise outdoor and build all of us up, so our school organized a sports meeting. Hundreds of students took active part. The meeting included various events designing for all students. Among them the 4×100m relay made the strongest impression for us. Last Sunday witnessed a friendly basketball game between students and teachers in our school with the aim of fueling students’ passion for sports as well as release their overwhelming pressure. Bathing in sunshine, players from Grade 3 competed with their teachers in the basketball court surrounded by the rest of the students, who were watching excited. Both teams were playing at their best in high spirit. Although the teachers took the lead in a game at first, the students did not lose their heart and tried to catch up with their opponents. The game was filled in great excitement and passion, and ends in a draw of 2:2. The “19th Asian Games for All” campaign was engaged the public beyond Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, the country of China and the wider continent as the curtain come down on the program at the Main Media Center on Sept 22, 2023.

Australian photographer for Al-Iraqia newspaper, Rafeq Mohammed, joins week Tai Chi classes near his home in Sydney and tried Ba Duan Jin the first time during the Fun Run event.
“Tai Chi has made I more patient,” he said. “Ba Duan Jin is amazing. It makes me feel powerful, relaxes me and enhances my mental strong. During the practice, I also acquire discipline.”

I discovered the joy of playing table tennis when I enter high school. At first, I was hesitant to try the sport, but after watching a few excited matches, I was attracted. My hard work paid back when I won my first tournament, what inspired me to work harder. Play table tennis became a way for me to forget the pressure of high school. Several days before, my English teacher told us that there was going to have an English speech competition in our school. One student from each class would be selected for competition. With the weather getting warm, last week our school’s annual sports meeting was held on as scheduled. The opening ceremony, in it each class performed a marvelous march, was splendid.
