Last Friday, a tug-of-war competition was held in our school playground to enrich students’ campus life.
Each of the ten groups was consisted of ten boys and eight girls, carefully selecting from each class in Senior 3. Every group was well prepared but did some physical training, making the competition extreme intense. Loud cheers could be heard here and there, which encouraged the athletes to try our best. After several round, Class 2 won the first prize.
The event turned out to be great success. Not only did it made our campus life colorful, but it also taught us the important of team spirit.

I love sports. My friends and I often play football in my out-of-class activities. Today I finish my PE test. As a boy I was joined in two parts, the long jump and the 1000m race. I was better at the 1000m race, where took me 5 minutes and 20 seconds. But I didn’t do well at the long jump. I only jumped 4.5 meter. I love sports so much because they can not only make my body stronger, and also let me keep optimistic all the time. While exercised, I can get a strong sense of successful. I can get excited and confident. In word, sports are my favorites.

Last weekend, we watched an excited basketball match in our school. It is between Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. During the match, the players from all teams played very hard. Grade 2 was stronger. However, to our surprised, Grade 1 won at last. The player jumped and hugged celebrate their success. Just then, the players from the other team that came near and said “Congratulations!” to them. They worn smiles on their faces and you couldn’t tell from their expressions that they lost the match. We were touching by the scene and felt what important a role sport plays in daily life.
