The Edinburgh Festival Fringe
Set up in 1947, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world’s largest performance arts festival. Only the Olympic Games and the World Cup sell more tickets and it takes over venues (场馆) all over the city for most of August. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society publishes a free programme every year containing most of the performances — which can be picked up in venues across Edinburgh before and during the event.
The Edinburgh International Festival
First held in 1947, the Edinburgh International Festival has taken place every year since. It sees famous figures from the fields of music and the performing arts invited to perform in the city. One-day adventure (冒险) course
This is a chance you have been waiting for. Come and try sailing, climbing and surfing.
This course is trying to introduce outdoor activities to adults in a fun way. You do not need to be very fit or to have had experience of the activities. All you need is to be interested.
Play Park
The Play Park is suitable for children from 2 to 10 years of age. It is one of the best of it stype in the country. It has sand and water play, large ball pools, play castles and much, much more.
Group day and weekend courses
We also offer day and long weekend courses for groups. We receive regular visits from schools and colleges. There are three large rooms with twelve beds in each, which can be booked beforehand (提前) for groups of up to 36 people (12 at least) .
Summer adventure holiday (for 8-14 years of age)
Safety is of great importance at the Outdoor Centre. All our workers are fully trained in first aid (急救), and able to teach the activities on offer. We also make certain that all children only take part in activities that are suitable for their age and physical abilities. For this programme, children must be able to swim 25 metres and be in good physical health.

Each year, JPR (Jefferson Public Radio) provides opportunities for SOU (Southern Oregon University) students to get involved with the radio station through work, volunteering or to receive course credits.
Student Opportunities
*Music Library Manager
Assist JPR’s Music Director in maintaining the station’s library of over 35,000 albums. Organizational skills are of utmost importance in this position. The duties include categorizing new records, keeping the library in tidy working order, and helping to acquire new digital music submissions.
*Programming Assistant
Assist the station’s Program Director in various marketing-related tasks, including social media, graphic design, community outreach, student engagement awareness, and other duties.
*Music Program Host
Occasionally, JPR has an opportunity for a student to host one of our music programs. This requires in-depth knowledge of the music JPR features, a pleasant, engaging vocal style, and a fairly flexible schedule both for training, and for possible on-air opportunities.
*Music Director Assistant
Review new music added to the JPR music library for lyrical content unacceptable for broadcast, and label songs according to station policy.
