The National Council for the Traditional Arts (NCTA) is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation and documentation of folk and traditional arts in the United States. The NCTA presents the nation’s very finest artists in festivals, tours, international cultural exchanges, workshops, demonstrations and exhibitions, media productions, school programs, and other activities. ● Programming Administration Assistant
This is the perfect position for someone with an interest in history, arts management, cultural anthropology, and related fields.
Responsibilities include programming research, marketing and promotion, and event organization. The position may also be responsible for press and photo document management, social media updates, and customer service.
Qualified applicants will be detail-oriented and organized, with excellent people skills and a general interest in the traditional arts. Computer literacy is essential. The contract runs from May 1 to December 15．
● Festival Assistant
This is the perfect position for someone with an interest in arts, culture, and event logistics (后勤) who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, collegial small-office environment.
The position provides festival staff support. Responsibilities include document creation, travel purchase, logistics support, data entry, and database maintenance.
Qualified applicants will be outgoing and open-minded, with effective oral and written communication skills and computer literacy. Prior experience with festival planning is preferred. The contract runs from May 18 to October 30.
● Production Associate
The production associate is a key member of the production team who will work closely with the production manager on all festival audio, backline, and lighting needs, from planning through implementation (实施).
The role will contribute to the following key tasks: advancing technical needs with artists, making tech books, accurate record-keeping, and working with the NCTA and festival staff to insure smooth on-site operations.
Qualified applicants will be responsible and adaptable, with excellent people skills. Prior experience in concert production is preferred. The contract runs from June 15 to October 30．

So what is rewilding?
Imagine our natural homes growing instead of getting smaller. Imagine a variety of species instead of less species. That is rewilding. Rewilding is environmental restoration. Rewilding offers hope for wildlife, humans and the planet.
Why is rewilding important and necessary?
● Our natural ecology is broken. The places where you would expect wildlife to exist have been reduced to wet deserts. The seabed has been destroyed and there have been no living creatures any more.
● Our wildlife is disappearing. Many wonderful species have declined over the past century. We’ve lost more of our large animals than any European country.
● We need keystone species. These vital species, including top predators (食肉动物), drive ecological processes. Their loss has worsened our living systems.
● Nature looks after us. Good natural ecology can provide us with clean air and water, prevent flooding and store carbon. Rewilding can leave the world in a better state than it is today.
What are challenges?
As a long-term project, our “rewilding britain” has its challenges. Many people are not interested, because we have got used to the lack of/fewer native forests. Many farmers oppose/disagree with the idea. They thought it a crazy idea to bring back predators because they would start killing farm animals. It takes time to educate them. Above all, we need money! So we need your help!

4 . A poem competition has been started for pupils aged 4 to 18 around UK. It invites young people to focus on (关注) the “many ways we are connected to the universe”. The competition is part of a national celebration of creativity in the UK.

Ohio State University has some of the best recreation facilities (设施) in the country. Our Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) has opened in the past 10 years, whose facilities and programs are designed to fit all your needs and schedule.
RPAC Membership Rights
A membership is your ticket to take advantage of all the facilities and programs.
Classes and programs
Group fitness, sport clubs and outdoor adventure programs are only available to current RPAC members. You can attend unlimited free group fitness classes as part of your membership. An extra payment will be required if you prefer personal training classes.
Guests and Family Participation
Members may sponsor up to two guests during a visit. A daily guest pass is required for each guest to enter RPAC, and members must be present at the time of buying a pass. The pass is accepted at all facilities for unlimited re-entries in a one-day period.
RPAC aims to offer a family-friendly environment. Members are able to enjoy quality time with their families free of charge in a variety of family-friendly accommodations, including family changing rooms, the Lounge game room, and Leisure pool.

RPAC offers full-service men’s and women’s locker rooms featuring large and medium size lockers, which can be rented either monthly or yearly. RPAC towel service is available in addition to day lockers at various locations throughout the facility.

In an effort to create a welcoming and safe environment for all members, you have the responsibility to follow the following policies:
Filming and photography in the facilities must be approved in advance.
Cell phone photography and video are not permitted in locker rooms.
Fighting and rough play are not permitted in all facilities.
Shoes are required in all public areas of all indoor facilities, except for locker rooms and swimming pools.
All equipment checked-out from RPAC must be returned at the required check-in time. You may be charged for the equipment returned late or damaged.

8 . What it does
The self-cleaning door handle is combining with advanced photocatalytic(光催化) and blacklight technology. A light source activates the door’s handle coating, telling it to start cleaning. It can reduce the risk of infection by contact and improve the cleanliness of a space.
How it works
The working principle of the product is that a thin advanced photocatalytic coating can effectively remove bacteria(细菌) on the surface of a substance.A consistent UV light source inside a transparent glass door handle is required to activate the door’s handle coating on the outer surface for disinfection, so a generator is used to provide electricity to light up a UV LED lamp by the motion of an opening and closing door. Then, the door handle can clean by itself.
Design process
We made the first version by using stainless steel(不锈钢).However, it caused the door handle to be heavier. Then, we tried aluminum (铝), which made it light and easy to fix. We also improved the generator output which effectively turned energy from door movement into a light source.

Our innovative(革新的) design is simple,effective,and attracive. It has an elegant smooth shape, and its minimalist appearance stands out in today’s world of inventions. Nowadays, people use chemical cleaning materials to clean up public areas but it harms the human body. Our design can be used for a long time and is effective. It can self-clean after each use. Future plans
