Falcons: The Art of the Hunt
The hunting training of falcons (猎鹰) has long been attractive to humans.Aslongagoasearly8th-century Syria, falcons were being trained to become skilful hunters for the royal courts (皇家庭院). The practice spread across the world. A news how in the National Museum of Asian Art collects paintings and objects from ancient Egypt to China celebrating the hunting power of the birds. (Jan. 15-Jul. 17, 2022).
Iké Udé: Nollywood Portraits
The success of Nigeria’s Film industry has also meant the rise of charm and famous people in what is called Nollywood. Iké Udé returned to Lagos, the largest part of Nigeria, in 2014 after three decades as an artist in New York City to photograph the leading stars, often in costumes from their films, as well as directors and producers in the $3 billion industry. The result reflects the changing nature of African identity in the 21st century. (Opens Feb.5, 2022)
Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight
Pacific Northwest music and projects accompany (伴随) a major show at the National Museum of the American Indian by Tlingit glass artist Preston Singletary. Organised by the artist with the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington, it was originally supposed to open in the fall of 2020. The show tells the story of Raven and his efforts to change the world by bringing light to people from the stars, moon and sun. (Jan, 28, 2022-Jan. 29,2023).
Baseball: America’s Home Run
This show features hundreds of U.S. and international stamps remembering baseball’s finest players. First organised to mark the 150th anniversary (周年庆) of professional baseball in 2019. “Baseball: America’s Home Run” will feature some historic objects that have never appeared on public show. Yoga not only improves balance and flexibility, but also serves as a peaceful escape from the stress of daily life. Our students will have the chance to physically exercise while reducing some stress from their life. Join us for our annual summer eight-week journalism workshop! The program runs from June26 to August 18, 2023.
In our program, we’ll teach high schoolers the fundamentals through real-world reporting tasks. Some writers may even get the opportunity to publish their work on The Stanford Daily’s website as they receive one-on-one guidance from Daily editors in weekly check-in meetings and lessons.
Even if you’ve done a program with us before, you’re sure to learn new skills, encounter new challenges, and level up your journalistic skills! We have all-new content and guest speakers with fresh and exciting perspectives to bring to the table.
It is open to participants of all skill levels — our editors will work with you at whatever pace you’re comfortable with and get you up to speed regardless of your level of experience.
Over the course of the eight-week journalism workshop, participants will get hands-on experience in the end-to-end process of news reporting, including:
How to find stories and assess (评估) their newsworthiness
How to identify and interview sources
How to create well-structured, interesting news pieces
How to write breaking news
In addition to writing, students will have the opportunity to learn multimedia and digital skills, ultimately gaining exposure to the complete, real, end-to-end experience of working in journalism.

Job Description

Though Salander manages to find Firefall, problems arise when Russian criminals steal her laptop. It’s not long before Salander is fighting for her life against enemies. Thriller, starring Claire Foy, Sylvia Hoeks and Stephen Merchant.
Travel: Kate Humble’s Coastal Britain, C 5, 8 pm
Kate Humble’s starting point for the latest leg of her journey is the picturesque village of Alnmouth, once a leading grain port in the 18th century. Today, it’s known for its colourful houses and a sweep of sandy beach where Kate meets a former GP, Claire, who uses the sand to create temporary large-scale artworks and portraits, which are visible for only a few hours before the tide sweeps them away.
Gardening: Monty Don’s Adriatic Gardens, BBC 2, 8 pm
The presenter begins the latest leg in the city of Trieste, near Italy’s border with Croatia. He visits a public garden created by an obsessive royal plantsman more than 150 years ago, which is now being carefully restored. Monty then heads down the Adriatic coast through Croatia to pick up the trail that the Venetians followed. The green-fingered expert ends his journey on the island of Lopud, near Dubrovnik.

What We Offer
Intimate Drivers’ program will help students prepare for their road test and give them the skills they need to become lifelong safe and defensive drivers.
The beginner program offers 20 hours of in-class training, 12 hours of homework assignments and 8 hours of in-car training. Each in-class training lasts 120 minutes and each one-on-one in-car training 80 minutes. What’s more, students can be picked up for free from home, work or school.
What You Need To Know
Students can complete the classroom part of the course in just two weekends or if it better suits their schedules, they can take it during the evenings on weekdays. There are also classes offered during the holiday break.
Students can start taking line classroom part of the driving training without the G 1 license, but do need it by the time they’re ready to start the in-car driving lessons.
