3 . Football: Designing the Beautiful Game

What to expect
The exhibition explores the story behind football, showing how design has been used to push the game to new limits. Take a journey through over 500 objects, films and interviews in sporting performance, equipment development and stadium design, and involve yourself in the stories of clubs and game legends(传奇) including Messi, Pelé, George Best and Diego Maradona.
Held by the Design Museum and the National Football Museum in Manchester, the show displays the master planning of the world’s most significant football stadiums, the design innovation used in today’s equipment, how the graphic design of team badges(徽章) and posters shapes a club’s identity and how grassroots’ efforts are pushing the sport’s commercialization.

4 . Walter Peak High Country Farm, on the western shores of Lake Wakatipu is famous in history. Its sheltered bays were used as camping sites by Maori travelling to the Mararoa and Oreti Rivers on Moa hunting and gathering expeditions.
Things to do
Situated on picturesque Lake Wakatipu’s wester shores, the farm is the perfect place to spend a few relaxing hours. The Farm Tour itself is a wonderful experience for the whole family, with something to keep everyone entertained and happy. Our rural host will meet you after you leave the steamboat and take you for a walking tour of the farmyard.
The first stop is the holding to help feed the sheep and deer, and even get up close to the Scottish highland cattle.
Then walk slowly through the lakeside gardens to the charming Colonel’s Homestead for morning or afternoon tea.
Afterwards the farmer will lead you over to the shearing shed (剪羊毛棚) where you can watch the farm dogs rounding up sheep on the hills, and see the farmer cut the wool off a sheep. You will then board the steamboat for your cruise back to Queenstown.

5 . Four destinations for electric-bike tours across Canada
Banff by e-bike
White Mountain Adventures and Banff Cycle both launched guided e-bike tours of Canada’s first national park this summer The former’s offerings include a 50-kilometre there-and-back ride along the Bow Valley Park way and a50-km return ride along the car-free Rocky Mountain Legacy Trail. Banff Cycle, meanwhile, adds a three-hour “Banff and Bow Valley” guided trip to the mix.
Fat-biking in Yukon
This new ride from the luxurious Mount Logan EcoLodge on the Alaska Highway near Haines Junction provides an exception to the rule that Canadian e-bike tours are unavailable in winter. Equipped with oversized tires to allow riding on snow and other unstable surfaces, the electric fat bikes can be booked for two-hour guided tours that explore the wilderness bordering Kluane National Park.
Sipping and e-cycling in Niagara
Niagara Cycling Tours hosts group outings of at least four e-bike riders that range in length from 65 to more than 110 kilometres. The offerings include a two-day “Niagara Introductory Ride,” which can be customized to visit local attractions, and a new “Beers and Bikes” tour, which rides between more than a dozen craft breweries (啤酒厂).
