Through this program, you can get a taste of college life. Students who attend the program will prepare for college through strict coursework and excellent instruction from University of Maryland professors. Students can choose to complete classes within their given area of study during their three-week term.
●Emory University: Summer Pre-College Program
△Entering Grades：11th and 12th
The program gives high school students a chance to get ahead. There are six-week courses during which students can learn from top professors in their fields of study while earning college credit（学分）.
●Boston University: High School Honors Program
△Entering Grades：11th and 12th
The program allows students to visit the campus and study for five weeks. During that time, students can choose to join many classes and even earn up to eight college credits by the end of their program. With over 80 classes to choose from, it'll surely be an exciting time for you.
●Wake Forest University: Summer Immersion Program
△Entering Grades：9th to College
After studying for four weeks, high school students are given a chance to test their likes and abilities in the field they think they might like to study. There're many courses to choose from. Students experience all of college life well before officially attending college.

2 . It’s currently December and Christmas is almost here. And what better way to spend time with your loved ones than sitting down to watch some classic Christmas movies? Listed below are four films that will make you laugh, cry or both this festive season.
The Grinch（2000）
This is a Christmas must-watch and one of Jim Carrey’s best performances. It was also originally a children’s book written by Dr Seuss, which I would recommend reading! It’s the story of a green monster who wants to ruin Christmas, but who in the end discovers the power of love and generosity. I promise it’s a great film with plenty of laughs along the way.
Love Actually（2003）
While this is not a personal favourite of mine, people in the UK absolutely love this film. It has a number of stars, featuring actors and actresses such as Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman. It might be a little difficult to follow as there are lots of different sub-plots, so I recommend watching a dubbed version（配音版）in your native language.
Home Alone（1990）
This film is one of my favourite films of all time and I would watch it all year round if I could. It tells the story of a boy, Kevin, who is left alone in his house when his large family forget to take him on vacation with them. While the family are away, burglars（小偷）try to rob the house and Kevin must protect his home by setting traps. The trips, falls and traps will have you laughing out loud as you watch a 10-year old boy outsmart two grown men.
Miracle on 34th Street（1994）
You can’t have Christmas in an English-speaking country without watching this film. It’s not funny like Home Alone or The Grinch, but it is incredibly touching. It’s about a man who claims to be Santa, but nobody believes him except a lawyer and a little girl.

5 . The 2021 Barbara Mandigo Kelly Peace Poetry Awards
The awards contest (奖赛) is to encourage people to explore peace and the human spirit. There are three agecategories (类型): Adult (19&over), Youth (13-18), and Youth (12&under). The yearly contest is open to people worldwide. Your poems must be unpublished (未发表的), and in English.

6 . Welcome to the State Park, where fun, fitness, and education come together!
Don’t miss our new summer classes, which are available during May 23—Aug 5!
● Swimming lessons: Age 4 – adult. Cost: $5 per class or $15 for one month.
● Hiking: Have a park keeper hike with you through our paths and teach you about the park’s wildlife and plants. The park is a perfect spot for hiking.
● Soccer: Our youth soccer program is unusual and non-competitive. Different teams are formed every day. The focus is on each player learning to work as a team, not on one team winning it at all.
● Boating: These classes are only for 20-year-olds and above. Fishing is only allowed with a permit.
● Bicycling: We have special paths built for bicyclists. Signs are posted for self-guided tours of our park.
Group cycling is also available with a park guide. Paths range from easy to challenging.
A message from the director:
Hiking paths! Sports fields! Playgrounds! Campgrounds! Fun activities! The State Park offers something for everyone. We have a number of plants and animals, which are in danger of dying out, being protected in our park. Sign up for one of our new summer community classes, or take a camping trip with your friends or family. All the facilities here are set up with modern systems, so you don’t have to struggle while enjoying yourself—unless you want to!

Google’s Street View lets visitors tour the Guggenheim’s famous spiral (螺旋式) staircase without ever leaving home. From there, you can discover incredible works of art from the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary times.

As one of Germany’s largest museums, Pergamonhas a lot to offer — even if you can’t physically be there. This historical museum is home to plenty of ancient works including the Ishtar Gate of Babylon and, of course,the Pergamon Altar.
Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam
Anyone who is a fan of this tragic, gifted painter can see his works up close (or, almost up close) by virtually visiting this museum — the largest collection of artworks by Vincent Van Gogh, including over 200 paintings, 500 drawings, and over 750 personal letters.
The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles

Babbel is an excellent language tool to help you progress step by step with learning a new language. It helps you learn grammar along the way as you work your way through the tasks and assignments. You need to pay a monthly subscription (订阅费)，but this will still be cheaper than taking physical lessons with a tutor!
Duolingo：Learn Languages for Free
The app has many languages to choose from and will work through the basics all the way to advanced words and sentences. It’s all completely free too! It’s incredibly well designed，looks great and will help you learn，remember and progress with just a little bit of time every day.
Tandem：Language Exchange
Rather than have you work through tasks and memorize different things，the app lets you match with people who share your interests but speak the language you want to learn. You can then have text，voice and video conversations with people who want to learn your native language, and in return you learn theirs，all by simply communicating with each other. It’s a great way to learn with only $1 a day.
Busuu：Learn English
This app is perfect if you want to learn English. There are all sorts of audio and visual learning aids.You’ll find yourself working through interactive tests and learning tools for vocabulary and dialogue.

Teenage Art School

Come and experience the creativity, hi—tech and exploration of traditional art techniques produced by Teenage Art School. This year's free exhibition is currently on display in the Project Gallery until late September. Our experimental five—day course for children between 14 and17 years runs yearly, studying different topics and approaches to help young people develop their skills as artists.
Bouts Artist in Residence

York Art Gallery is pleased to be working with a student artist from York St John's University to produce fine art visuals in response to Making a Masterpiece: Bouts and Beyond. Using the exhibition as a starting point for inspiration, our students will create their own art—work in the Project Gallery. See how artists make images and work on techniques in this developing studio and display space.
This exhibition has been developed as a funded partnership with The Bowes Museum and Bristol Museum.

DJI Mavic Air 2 ($ 800)
DJI Mavic Air 2 offers clear improvements over previous products. It can shoot 4K videos at 60 fps, along with still photos of up to 48 megapixels (百万像素), while the drone’s flight time has been increased to 34 minutes (up from 21). The drone itself starts at $ 800, but adding the Fly More Combo pack on to your shopping list gives you three batteries and some additional items for another $ 200.
Mavic Mimi ($ 400)
Mavic Mimi’s advantages are its size and weight, the latter of which comes in at just under the 250-gram mark. The biggest drawback is that it doesn’t shoot 4K like DJI’s higher-end drones, but you’ll still get some impressive 2.7K videos and 12-megapixel still images.
Ryze Tello ($ 110)
There may be a handful of clear favorites when it comes to higher-end drones, but things get quite a bit more confusing if you’re just looking for a cheap flyer to try your hand with. While there’s no mistaking this for a pro-level piece of equipment, Ryze Tello benefits from a partnership with DJI that gives it some reliable capabilities for the price.

What can professional movie makers get in DJI Inspire 2? a lightweight body, a flight time of 27 minutes, and an amazing 5.2K video quality. Besides, it has retractable (可收回的) landing equipment, and you can turn the camera 360 degrees without anything blocking the view.
