1 . Air Travel Guidelines for Children
We’re here to help you prepare to fly with your children. Here’s how it works.
Booking a child’s ticket
You’ll need to buy a separate ticket if:
· You book an international flight.
· Your child is 2 years old or older at takeoff.
· Your child is a baby sitting in his or her own seat.
In some cases, children can fly for free. If everything below is true, you won’t need to buy your child a separate ticket:
· You book a domestic(国内) flight.
· Your child is a baby(less than 2 years old), at takeoff.
· Your baby sits on the legs of a traveler over the age of 12.
· No more than 1 baby is seated on the legs of a traveler.
Now for the rules, each traveler over the age of 12 may accompany(陪伴) up to 2 babies, each seated in their own seat.
Documents a child will need
The airlines determine what documents you’ll need to travel. In short, if you’re flying domestically, each child might need a photo ID. If you’re flying internationally, each child will need a passport. Additionally, children under 18 traveling to Mexico need to provide proved documentation and letters of permission. For more information, please visit the US Embassy(大使馆) website.
Unaccompanied children on flights
· Some airlines may charge a fee for unaccompanied child service.
· Children under 5 and over 17 might be unfit for unaccompanied child service.
· Both the adult dropping the child off at the airport and the adult picking the child up are required to show identification.
Contact your airline to ask about more information.

2 . With gas prices rising and airport security lines snaking longer than ever, why not book your next domestic vacation on a train? Compared to other alternatives, it’s comfortable and relaxing. Here is some advice on how to make a trip by rail as pleasant as possible.
Plan ahead. Most long-distance trains, especially the sleeping car accommodations, sell out very quickly.
Use a travel agent. Consider turning your travel plan over to a travel agent and letting him double-check all the details, make suggestions, and then handle the actual reservations. A good one can sometimes find you discounted tickets.
Bring a blanket. When you’re riding on trains, you won’t be provided with a blanket for free, even if your trip is an overnight one.
Arrive early. Most trains operate just once a day and some run only three times a week, so missing yours can be a disaster.

4 . NASA is making preparations to send a crew to the moon who will explore the lunar surface with the hope of constructing a stable habitat. Although the American space agency focuses on just sending astronauts, other companies are looking further into the future for when humans will colonize the natural satellite.
Experts at Money, a company for consumer credit products, released the first-ever moon loan guide that reveals living on the lunar surface would cost $325,067 a month.
“With the Earth becoming increasingly populated and space technology advancing, it won’t be long before lunar living becomes the new normal,” reads the study. The team from Money used various factors to calculate the cost of a house on the moon: raw materials needed to build a house, the special materials needed to build on the moon’s atmosphere, astronauts required to travel to build, and the average cost of transporting materials to the moon.
According to the moon loan guide, the first fully functioning house on the moon would be $48, 454, 063, which is a high price for a home. The price includes adding life-saving details to homes such as air seals, industrial-strength air-conditioners and heaters. “Generating energy is vital when living in such extreme conditions, and therefore the cost of some supplies may force you to consider some alternative options. The most efficient way to generate electricity on the moon is to buy a small nuclear reactor costing S1. 3 million, “Money shares in the study. “Alternatively, 34 solar panels would generate enough electricity to run one house and cost only $23, 616 in comparison.”
The guide also reveals the most ideal locations on the moon, with “Sea of Rains” being considered” the perfect family suburb” — this region sits at the north and is one of the largest impact craters in the Solar System.

Sheep shearing (修剪)
It’s a big sport in New Zealand, which proudly hosts the annual Golden Shears International Championships. Held in the town of Masterton in March, the four-day event seeks to identify the world’s fastest sheep shearer. The event is not all about shearing; live bands bring a party atmosphere to it. It’s attractive to many tourists.
Lucha libre
It’s a form of freestyle wrestling with a devoted fan base in its native Mexico. Competitors are famous for their well-made masks, which keep their identities a secret. That’s until they are defeated in the fight, which often requires losers to show their faces. Don’t forget to bring some loose change: when viewers are impressed by a victorious wrestler, they throw money at them. You may enjoy the event once a year.
Lawnmower (割草机) racing
This annual sport now has its own governing body—the British Lawn Mower Racing Association (BLRA). It has a 30-race championship that runs from May to October. Most races are part of larger rural events, such as the Cranleigh Show in Surrey, where viewers can experience other events. The BLRA remains un-commercial and donates all profits to organizations that help people who are poor, sick, or in difficulties.
Wife carrying
Every year a small town of Sonkajaervi in Finland hosts the event: the International Wife Carrying Championships. During this competition, husbands have to carry their wives along the track which is 250 m long and features several barriers on land and a 1-m deep water pool.
