China and Western country may have different cultural beliefs about certain animals. But when it comes to pigs, we somehow reach an agreement that pigs are lazy, ugly, stupidly and shameless. Neither of these words describing pigs are exactly positive. Moreover, the truth is what pigs have some good qualities. And there’s probably no good time to clear their names than now, with the arrival of the Year of the Pig on Chinese Spring Festival, which fell February 5 this year. According to a paper publishing in 2017, pigs can tell between those who treat them well or those who don’t. Perhaps these are the qualities of pigs to keep it in mind—their intelligence, cuteness and patience.

Last Friday, our school organized an English speech contest, which theme was Learning to Be Grateful. The activity was aimed for encouraging us students to have a grateful heart. All the students in the senior grades go to watch it in the school hall. Five experienced English teachers inviting to act as judges were all from our school. Twenty competitors attended them in total. They did so great job that nearly half of them was rewarded. In my view, the contest is extreme meaningful and instructive. To be grateful is a traditional virtue of our nation, which contributes many to social harmony and makes us to become responsible citizens.

As senior high students, we are on busy schedule every day, burdened with heavy study and involving in various after-school activities. Therefore, time management seems essential, without what work delay and study stress will be unavoidable. So how to plan it successfully? Make a to-do list is on top recommendation. List things we are going to do them and plan the time taken up by each task, and things will be done accordingly. Second, do one thing at one time. Concentration guarantees efficiency and the former task’s accomplishment usually helps the next go smooth. That’s because I strongly recommend time management here. I believe we can live our senior high life to its full because that.

To avoid punished, he told his teacher that a dog eats his homework. Obviously, it was just an excuse he made to cover the fact which he hadn’t done his homework. The teacher certainly knew about that and made them stay after school. Sometimes we think we can avoid trouble by making excuse when we do something wrongly. However, we are really making problems worse instead of.
