One Saturday morning, I suddenly noticed my room was a completely mess, what really annoyed me. I realized too many useful things took up a lot of space. So I decided to throw it away and do some cleaning. It took me a whole day get all the works done. Finally the room was tidy again and everything was in the order.

This was also true for life: we add more and more to our life, hoped to get a better life. But sometimes the more we add, the bad our life becomes. After all, sometimes less is more.

Last week, a chorus competition was holding in our school. Our teacher told us about it on Monday and encouraged us take part in it. After the heated discussion, we both agreed to sing Defending Yellow River. Four days later, the chorus had started in the school hall. We sang with full passion, wearing uniform costume. We were glad to see that all audience applauded warm at the end of our performance. Thanks for our wonderful and inspired performance, we finally won the first prize. We were not only proud of our victory, and deeply impressed by the meaning of cooperation.

A month ago, we have had our last sports meeting in the middle school, which meant a lot to us. It was not only a great chance to show our talents in sports, but valuable moment for us all to stand together and fight against our joint honor for the last time. We spend most of our spare time practice on the playground, repeating the simple movements again and again. The most impressed moment finally came. Every one of them stood straight and passed the platform full of energy and enthusiastic. It seemed as if we were on a great stage.

It is said that you will receive that you give. In the end our class got the first place with hard training. The sports meeting has been over but our hearts have got close.

It was on Sunday so I didn’t have to go to school as usually. My parents went to the countryside to see my grandparents, left me alone. After finishing my homework, I begin to play football at home. All of a sudden, I kicked the ball so hardly that it flew right onto a vase and broke it. It was great favorite of my mother’s. I decided to tell my parents it was the fault of the cat for fear that she should punish me. Therefore, when they got home, I hesitated for a moment and told them that truly happened. Instead of punishing me, they just hoped that I would never make so a foolish mistake again.

I’m glad to hear that you are coming for a holiday in our city the next month. I’m such happy that you will stay in my house.

There have been greatly changes in the last three year in my home. First, we have rebuilt your house, which now has four private rooms. You can choose any of them to live when you come. Second, my parents have set up a small restaurant in our village, that you can eat healthily. I’m really willing to be your guide to make your journey interested and meaningful.

I was walking my dog around my local streets last Sunday when I meet a new couple. They liked my dog but gave it a sandwich. I thanked them and had a happily chat with them. They said they had just been moved into this community. Unfortunate，they had a troublesome neighbour, that was rather noisy at night, making it hard for them to fall asleep. “Oh，it's great pity. I think I'm quite lucky to have kind neighbours,” I said.

Say our goodbyes, we separated. As my dog and I was near my home, I was embarrassed to see that my new friends were walking towards the house next to me. I was the noisy neighbour!

The Yangko Dance is a tradition Chinese folk dance creating by the farmers hundreds of years ago. Many Chinese people took it as an important method of relaxing, no matter when there is a spring festival and when there are some special celebrations.

Before the Yangko Dance starts, the music performed to build the dancers a festival atmosphere. As the dance’s content comes from special folk legends, men and women whom perform the dance are dressed in colorfully clothes.

During the dance, the dancers are wagging to present old story to the audience in the new style. The dance also shows our happy mood and life.

While the dancers are dancing on the ground, there is usually a big crowd around them, appreciating and sharing with the feelings of the dancers there.

Last weekend, I helped my grandparents prepare their trip to Beidaihe. In Saturday morning, I, together with my grandparents, were searching the internet for the train schedule, the weather in Beidaihe, and some hotel information.

In the afternoon, I went to the train station and manage to buy two tickets for grandparents although there was a long queue. After dinner, I packed into the suitcase the things my grandparents badly needed them, such as clothes, glasses, a umbrella and a map. The next morning, I got up hurried and went to the station to see them away. The train came and they got on. Waved goodbye to them on the platform, I felt happy for them but wished them a safe journey.

Yesterday was my 18th birthday. As Father and Mother thought it was a big occasion for me, they suggested I held a birthday party at home to celebrate it. By 4 o'clock I was pleased to see all my friends had come with a lot of beautiful present. Mother cooked a big meal. They spent a wonderful night together, eating and talking happily. The most excited moment was when Mother put a big birthday cake on the table and all my friends begin to sing Happy Birthday. Saw the 18candles burning, I couldn't keep back my tears. Without Mother and Father's love, I wouldn't be leading so a happy life now. Mother asked me make a wish before I blew out all the candles. After that, everyone enjoyed the sweet birthday cake and shared with my happiness. I am eighteen years old now, it means I've become an adult and have more responsibility. I'll do my best to return my parents' love and live up to their expectations.

Last month, I took part in a volunteer activity in a village. We start off by bus at 9 o'clock. After a three-hour drive, we saw the village surrounded by hills. It was very difficulty to drive on the rocky road, so we got on the bus and walked there. The villagers standing by road welcomed us warm.

Cooked with those vegetable grown by the villagers, the lunch was tasted delicious. After lunch, we played games with the village children. Then, we visited an old man live alone on the hillside. We sang a few songs, what made him really happy.

I think when doing volunteer work, you help others and you gain happy in return.
