As it is known to all, the Great Wall is one of the best-known place of interest around the globe. Almost everybody want to pay a visit, but I am no exception. This summer vacation, the day I had looked forward to coming at last. I got up and set off early with my brother Tim keep me company. After two hours’ bus ride, we arrived what looked like a large market. Seeing millions of people talking, pushing and photographing, I immediate lost my enthusiasm. Indeed, the Great Wall is really something which must be experienced with a little care and patient.

We had a specially Teachers’ Day this year. Several days before Teachers’ Day, my classmates and me had a group meeting to decide how we could do to celebrate it. I’m a fan of reality TV shows and I watch it a lot. My favourite is “The Teenage Boss”, in whom twelve teenagers compete to winning a prize of £20, 000. I was taking a walk with my mother while I noticed some litter on the sidewalk on last Monday. I knew it was time to take action. So on their way home, we decided to doing some clean-up work. I took a picker and my mother hold a big rubbish bag. Together we did litter pickup on the sidewalk. I was surprising that the bag filled up so quickly. This morning I got an opportunity help an old gardener clean a field. It was a very beautifully way to begin the day for me. While I was walking near a farming field, and I saw this old man pulling out the grass and weeds. I entered the field and asked that I could help him. He agreed and gives me a grass cutter. Last summer, I took a part in voluntary work, helping elderly people. I delivered meals to some old people live alone. Nervous and exciting, I knocked on the door of a 90-year-old man on the first day. To my surprise, there is no answer. I kept knocking unless one of his neighbors turned up, saying the old man might have gone outside. Soon the man returned but accepted my meal. My experiences have shown that I can bring joy with old people. Everyone will face the fact when their parents grow older and become dependent on their children. The voluntary works has increased my confidence and I believe I able to help more people.
