In general, our houseparents are annoyed for boys students in dormitories. I didn't begin to like our houseparents until one night in last week. I was asleep when my alarm clock drops onto the floor and were broken into pieces. After the while, the houseparent on duty opened the door and rushed in. This morning at about nine o'clock, I was on my way the supermarket. Suddenly I see heavy smoke rising about several hundreds meters away. “There must be a fire!” I thought. Getting the nearer, I saw a shop was on fire. There was many people standing by the roadside watched. Six firefighters were struggling to put out the fire. I heard someone say they had fought for about an hour and two firefighters had rushed into the shop to rescue a woman. After a while, they rushed out supporting the woman. But one firefighter got injured serious. All the people and I whom saw what happened were deeply moved by their bravery. About twenty minutes late the fire was finally put out.

Last Sunday the storm struck the village where my grandparents used to living. The storm had destroyed twenty houses, thirteen of which were bad damaged. One rainy day while I was walking home with one of my friend, a truck came to a stop besides us. The driver put the window down and offered us a umbrella because he found we were wet through. I stood there and couldn’t believe in that a complete stranger is so thoughtful. The man insisted, so I grateful accepted the offer, thanked him and watched the truck disappear down the road. This man might need the umbrella himself, and he preferred to give them to someone else. It was a lesson to us that it was possible give without expect anything in return.

After several days, the girl walked into a restaurant in hungers. A man who was the cook invites her to sit down and then made some delicious food for him. The girl was very surprising. Then the cook told the girl that a woman took a photo and asked him whether he seen the girl. But the woman gave him some money to cook for the girl if she turned up. The other day I was getting into my car when I saw the old man walking up the hill. He looked tiring and, as it was quite a rural area, I waited to check that he was OK. He was fine, so I asked her where he had been. He said he'd been taken a train and a bus ride just get out. He liked getting out once a day. There was a time when I was addicted to online games. Because of that, my study was suffered a lot. Instead for scolding me, Mother gave me a book written by Helen Keller and asked me to read it. Hardly have I finished a few pages when I was great attracted by Helen Keller. Despite her disability, she didn’t abandon hope and achieve a lot. This was her determination and courage that made her huge success.
When I finished reading the book, Mother had a talk with me. “You can also accomplish which Helen Keller did.” Mother’s words ring in my ear whenever I see the book, inspired me to face challenges in life.
