Many people, sometimes myself including, tend to judge a person by his appearance.
I was afraid of my uncle who has a scary tattoo on his arm till my mother told me a “story” .When I was three-year-old naughty boy, I always ran around the neighborhood with my toy saber. Unfortunate, one day I hit a wild dog on accident. The dog became crazy and try to bite me. It was at that time when my uncle appeared and protected me with her strong arm. However, this accident left a scar on his arm. My uncle went to get a tattoo in order to cover up the scars. From that moment, he is my hero but instead of a bad looking uncle.
So we need to go beyond people's looks and focus on more internal spirits in order to truly judging a person.
This morning, I was jogging in the park while I caught sight of a wallet on a bench. Clear, someone had left it there in accident. I picked up and checked the contents. Inside it, I found some money or a card with a phone number. Believing that the owner would be worried, I immediately try the number. A man answered it in an anxious voice. Hearing that I had his wallet, he sighed with relief and told me he would come right away. Ten minutes late, the man arrived. After confirm he was the owner, I returned the wallet back to him. With his thumb up, he expressed his thanks to me repeatedly. Seen the smile on his face, I felt happy that I was able to help.

Last Saturday, our class went hiking in countryside. We meet at our school gate and set off on 8:00 a. m. On the way, we were singing and laughing happily while a girl suddenly fell into a deep hole. She felt so frightening and even burst into tears. One of my classmate found a long rope and we finally got her out. Fortunately, she didn’t suffer serious injuries, but it seemed that her ankle was slight injured. We managed to sending her to the nearest hospital. One day when we were playing the basketball, I saw Tim wearing a pair sneaker of my style. I thought they were my shoes, so I shouted angry and blamed him for using my personal possessions without permit. Then I went back to the dorm after he could say anything. When realizing my act must have hurt him, immediately I rush to the court to apology to him sincerely. Fortunately, though he was angry and sad, he pardoned me. With my relief, the conflict ended happily.

Yesterday, when I complained with my mom about too little entertainment, she share the story of her youth with me. In the 1980s, neither iPads nor smartphones were invented. Each time when evenings approached, the children around would crowd into the only house where had a television. We stared at the small screen until the program ended. Parent would make every effort to drag their children to bed when it was getting lately. But now, iPads and smartphones have taken place of televisions. No wonder my mom always says we are the generation growing up in a honey jar. After listen to my mom’s story I felt lucky to live so a happy and comfortable life.

In my memory, my grandfather was kind and not good at expressing himself. I never knew that he really thought. He never judged book by its cover and treated people around him equal. When I was in primary school, I sent with him a letter, telling him how much I loved him. He never mentioned that he had received the letter and I never asked. When he passed away, I cleaned out my things. I found the letter hiding in his bedroom. On the back of the letter, he writes: “I’m so glad you love me, my grandson. I love you, either.” At that moment, I was so moved that I burst into tear.

Last Saturday, my friends and I go to climb the West Mountain. While climb, we enjoyed the sunny weather and a beautiful view. We were very delighted reach the top without much time or effort. Therefore, we found it more difficult to go down, so we went slowly but helped each other when necessary. Though I took care a lot, unfortunately I slipped and hurt me leg badly. As the result, I could hardly stand up. One of my friend came to me immediately and carried me on the back till we reached for the foot of the mountain. I was very thankful and felt proudly of having such good friends.
