Jo worked at a bush school whose classrooms    1    (make) of bamboo and the roofs of grass.

During my recent travels in China, I went from the top to the bottom of the country. I was astonished at     1    different the weather was in different cities.

The weather was    2     (extreme) cold in Harbin, but felt much warmer in Shanghai, Guilin, Qingdao and Yangshuo. Each city has a different feel and allows you    3     (experience) different things.

In Qingdao, we ate seafood,     4     (drink) beer and swam in the sea. In Harbin, we wore our warmest jackets and saw the    5     (amaze) ice and snow sculptures. Shanghai reminded me    6    a city in Europe or America. There were lots of Western cafes there. Guilin was a good place to be touring around during the Spring Festival. Fireworks filled the sky and the streets were filled with happy people.

But Yangshuo    7     (be) my favorite city of all. I could not stop taking    8     (photo) of the beautiful mountains and the Li River. I rode a bicycle along the Yulong River in the warm sun and I ate strawberries and drank tea    9    came from farms in the mountains.

Now, Back in Beijing, I am looking forward to the next trip. I suppose I    10     (go) to another warm place next time.

One morning, I was waiting at the bus stop, worried about     1       (be) late for school. There were many people waiting at the bus stop,     2     some of them looked very anxious and     3     (disappoint).When the bus finally came, we all hurried on board. He was carrying something over his shoulder and shouting. Finally, when we came to the next stop, the boy ran up to the door of the bus. I heard an excited conversation. Then the driver stood up and asked, “Did anyone lose a suitcase at the last stop?” A woman on the bus shouted, “Oh, dear! It’s    8     (I).”She pushed her way to the driver and took the suitcase thankfully, Everyone on the bus began talking about    9     the boy had done, and the crowd of strangers    10     (sudden) became friendly to one another.
