3 . Habit is a behaviour you do regularly (有规律的). As a professor who studies how to help students become better readers and writers, I can tell you that research shows habits have a loop (循环). Here are the things you need to make a studying loop:
●A set time to study every day.
●A cue (提示) to start studying.
●An environment that helps you stick to your studying routine (常规).
●A prize for studying.
When you do things at the same time every day, it is easier to remember to do them. To determine how much time you should set aside each day to study, multiply (乘) your grade level by 10 minutes. That means if you’re in third grade, you would plan to spend about 30 minutes per day studying. Spending more time than that on a regular basis can cause stress, anxiety and possibly destroy healthy sleep habits.
Studying at the same time every day is one cue. but you may need something more specific when first forming your habit. This can be a calendar reminder you set on your phone. or something as simple as a card with the word “study” printed on the front.
To help yourself study, you need a place set up for work and not for doing other things. Do not study on your bed— 4that’s for sleeping— 4or in front of the television, or anywhere it’s difficult to hold and use the materials you need. Best option: a table or desk with good lighting. Your study place should limit distractions (干扰). That includes other people’s conversations and all media: TV, video games, social media, texts or music.
The prize. That said, after you finish studying, you can give yourself a little gaming or social media time as your prize. With time, the studying itself will become its own prize. Improving your knowledge and skills will give you a sense of achievement and make you more confident and happier at school. But while forming your study habit, a really fun prize will help you stick with it.

Create a checklist of the tasks you have. Before diving in, make a list of all the things you need to do for your homework.
Solve the hardest homework first. Your first thought might be to put off the most difficult homework. If you get the hard stuff out of the way when you’re most alert, however, it will be easier to get through the rest of the pile.

5 . After entering high school, you must wonder how to study well. Here are some good skills for you.
Go to class.
If you want to do well at school, going to class is the first step in studying well. If you miss classes, you will miss what the teacher thinks is important; as a result, you’ll miss what is the most likely to end up on the test.
Take good notes.
Try not to write down everything.
If you are struggling in class, talk to your teacher. He or she may be able to give you more help before or after class. Most teachers have little sympathy(同情) for students who just become worried about failing during the last few weeks of the grading period.
Take part in class discussions.
In order to learn more in class, it is helpful to take part in class discussions. Asking questions and having eye contact with your teachers and classmates can increase your focus during the class discussion.
Form study groups.
Get students together who want to do well in class. Make sure that everyone is familiar with the material because you do not want to spend time re-teaching material to people who do not understand it.

8 . While some critics claim that history curricula (课程) teach unnecessary content, others argue that these curricula need to be more comprehensive. Despite ongoing debates about content, one universal truth remains: strong history curricula are necessary for developing the productive citizens of tomorrow.
The greatest academic value that history curricula provide is not the recall of important dates and names. Rather, understanding the historical inquiry process is the most important component. This process teaches students how to become critical thinkers and understand the dynamic nature of the telling of history.
Through strong history curricula, students are shown both a variety of primary and secondary sources and are taught to critique them. This is where the historical inquiry process begins. Students not only begin to analyze and ask questions about the content, but they also learn about the author’s credibility and potential bias (偏见). Students are then able to contextualize the information they learn and can think more critically about historical con text and those who tell it.
With this framework, students can then understand the causal relationship between human nature, values, philosophy, actions, and their consequences. It teaches students to recognize recurrent themes and lessons that are necessary to understand modern society. Most importantly, it teaches students to develop a healthy skepticism (怀疑论) when presented with information today because our actions are history in the making.
Forty years ago, renowned scholar James Fitzgerald argued that no education is complete without the teaching of historical inquiry. He believed that the only way to move forward in life is to understand what’s behind us.
Today, this principle still holds true. Students take both the factual knowledge and the historical inquiry skills they learn in the classroom and apply them to real world circumstances. Throughout their lives, students who are taught with strong history curricula will take the lessons they learn from our predecessors and become involved, active, productive citizens who want to create a history that tomorrow’s students will be proud to learn about.
