1     physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of     2    ,     3     bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities.

Sport is an important part of the culture in California. Because of the good climate, Californians can spend a lot of time outdoors, so many people play a sport of some kind. The larger towns and cities have many facilities for their     1    , such as football fields, swimming pools, and    2     courses. And for those who like walking, climbing, surfing, and    3    , there are the mountains and some of the world’s     4     beaches. Californians also enjoy watching sport, so lots of people go to live sporting events     5    . The excitement and party atmosphere of live sport can make people    6     forget all their problems and relax.

WELCOME TO OUR WINTER RUNNING EVENT!

After    1     that I was going to be my aunt's bridesmaid, I felt so    2     that I didn't sleep very well the night before her wedding day. Although I was tired, I didn't mind     3    up early the next morning to go to my aunt's house to get dressed up. I put on my blue dress and my aunt, of course, wore a white silk dress. When my aunt finally appeared at the back of the church,     4     a bunch of flowers, everybody looked at her with    5     smiles. After the wedding. I left the church    6     slowly behind my aunt and her husband. In the evening, we had a celebration party. Everybody was very happy,     7    and    8     until midnight.

A year ago, I came to the University of Birmingham to obtain a business    1    . Since then I’ve been living in university    2     with other international students, which allows me to meet people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The first few weeks there were absolutely overwhelming because everything was so different compared to things back home. I felt confused and lost. I also suffered from homesickness,     3    all sorts of things back home-from my mother’s cooking to the neighbour’s dog I used to walk.

Gradualy, I adapted to my new life as an international student. I got familiar with the place-the local shops, clubs, and parks. I made friends and became more confident in my studies day by day. I started     4    in this new environment. I became more motivated, and I’m also a lot more     5    now! I feel that coming here was the best decision I have ever made.

Now that I am an     1     writer, people often ask my     2    about the best age to start writing. Well, when I was in secondary school, I started writing an online     3    . I posted     4     I had on learning, social issues and school life. Sometimes, my classmates     5     with me about my posts, while others agreed with my ideas. As a result, my blog became so popular that it became the     6     of after-class talks in my school. My teachers were     7     about it and read it. My principal even told me that reading my blog had left a deep     8     on him and helped him understand many     9     of students’ lives. However, he also suggested that I     10     more on my studies! When I first     11     to write a novel, I struggled to think of story, but believe it or not, it ended up being     12     on one of my blog posts.
