①Anger often makes us uncomfortable. Seeing your child’s anger can be especially uncomfortable. In order to relieve (缓解) this feeling, parents will often encourage children to “stop crying” and say things like “It’s nothing to cry about?” It’s moments like these that plant the seeds of unhealthy anger. If a child never sees his or her parent express anger, he or she should never express anger, either. But if a parent always expresses their anger loudly, the child may start to think of anger as something that is always frightening. So we should learn how to create healthier anger in our kids.
②The first thing you can do to create healthier anger in your children is to practice creating healthier anger in yourself. Once you’re better at experiencing anger and expressing it in a healthy way, you’ll be able to set a good example for your kids.
③Stopping kids from expressing their feelings is wrong. You may feel bad when you believe you are wrong. When children express their feelings and are told that it’s nothing to cry about, they come to know that they themselves are bad.
④We need to raise them in an environment where it’s safe to express feelings. Once you feel more comfortable with your own anger, you can teach your children why anger is a helpful feeling. When your kid expresses anger, help them examine what it is that has made them angry. Why did it make them angry? How did it do that? Then, you can teach them that those feelings are never wrong and our expressions of our feelings are in our control.
⑤Anger is natural and normal, and it can be experienced and expressed in a healthy way.

Not all memories are sweet. Some people spend all their lives trying to forget bad experiences. Different accidents can leave people with terrible wounds both in body and mind. Often they recall these experiences in their awful dreams.
Now American researchers think they are close to developing a kind of medicine, which will help people forget bad memories. The medicine is designed to be taken soon after a scary experience. They hope it might cut down, or possibly clean up, the effect ( 影 响 ) of painful memories. In November, experts tested a drug on people in the US and France. The drug stops the body releasing chemicals(释放化学物质)that make memories remain in the brain. So far the research has suggested that only the effects of memories in mind may be cut down, not that the memories are cleaned up.
The research has caused a great deal of argument. Some think it is a bad idea, while others support it.
Supporters say it could lead to a kind of medicine that prevent or treat soldiers’ troubling memories after war. They say that there are many people who suffer from terrible memories.
“Some memories can destroy people’s lives. They come back to you when you don’t want to have them in a daydream or awful dreams at night. They usually come with very painful feelings,” said Roger Pitman, a professor at Harvard Medical School. “This could cut down lots of that suffering.”
But those who are against the research say changing memories is very dangerous because memories make us different from others. They also help us all avoid the mistakes of the past.
“All of us can think of bad events in our lives that were terrible at the time but make us who we are. I’m not sure if I want to forget those feelings.” said Rebecca Dresser, a medical scientist.

Though these embarrassing moments don’t hurt us a lot, they come back from time to time and make us feel upset. Even if these moments may have faded after some time, we would always remember the feeling of strong embarrassment. In fact, these feelings may last for years. When these kinds of feelings return, they are known as a “cringe attack(羞愧综合症)”
I get a quite uncomfortable feeling when I think back on a party my parents took me to when I was younger. I ate a bowl of strawberries by myself. My parents shouted at me—in front of everyone—for being so selfish (自私的). From then on, every time I put a strawberry into my mouth, my brain just throws that embarrassing scene back.
Why do these “cringe attacks” still show up in our daily lives even though the events happened weeks, months, or even years ago? According to experts, our brains give special attention to feelings that can be easily noticed. The stronger the feeling is, the stronger the memory will be. If you have a highly emotional (情绪激动的)moment, your brain will try to catch it.
So how can we deal with this? Well, we can start by trying to be more objective(客观的)about our past selves. Consider that you are not alone in your embarrassment—everyone fails or makes silly, embarrassing mistakes. Instead of just trying to forget what we did, we should try to accept who we were at that moment and think about how we can change for the better.

Swish! Swoosh! The weather is very wild. It is a hurricane. It has very strong winds and lots of rain.

Hurricanes are wide storms. They can spread (蔓延) from one town to another 800km away.
The strong winds in a hurricane blow round and round. The center of a hurricane is called the eye. The winds are not strong there.

When doctors understand how blood goes around inside the body, they try ways of giving blood to people who need it. They take blood from healthy people and give it to people who need it. This is called “blood transfusion”. The blood goes from the arm of the healthy person into the arm of the sick person.
But there are two problems. First, it does not always work. Sometimes people die when they have blood transfusions. Later, doctors find that we do not all have the same kind of blood. There are four groups—O, A, B and AB. We all have blood of one of these groups. They also find that they can give any kind of blood to people of group AB. But they find that they must give A-group blood to A-group people and B-group blood to B-group people. I have O-group blood and the doctor told me that I could give blood to anyone else safely.
There is another problem. To give blood of the right kind, doctors have to find a person of the right blood group. Often they cannot find a person in time. If they have a way to keep the blood until someone needs it, they can always have the right kind of blood. At first, they find they can keep it in bottles for fifteen to twenty days. They do this by making it very cold. Then they find how to keep it longer. In the end, they find a way of keeping blood for a very long time.
We call a place where we keep money a “bank”. We call a place where we keep blood a “blood bank”. One day, when you grow up, you may decide to give blood to a “blood bank”. By doing so, you may stop someone from dying. Or perhaps one day you may become ill. You may need blood. The “blood bank” will give it to you. Giving is receiving. If it is possible, try your best to help the people who are in need.

②Chemistry helps to make products for use. Something as simple as toothpaste has at least three chemicals that keep your teeth clean. Other things in your daily life are created by chemistry, such as hair products and soap. Without chemistry, we would never have known that we need soap to get the oil out of clothes.
③Chemistry also helps us understand the world around us. Thanks to chemistry, we know bleach(漂白剂)can’t be mixed with vinegar(醋), because the mixture can produce harmful gas.
④Chemistry plays a big role in food preparation. Cooking food causes it to go through a chemical change. That is the reason why cooked food often tastes different from uncooked food. Too much or too little of any chemical material makes a difference to the result of baking(烘焙).For example, the cake can be too soft or too hard.

According to a latest report, several schools in China are using a special kind of uniform to watch their students’ daily life and stop them from playing truant.
Such uniforms have tracking chips(追踪芯片)in them which can record the time and date a student enters the school and a short video that parents can see through a mobile app.
Once a student doesn’t have class without asking for leave, an alarm will send messages to tell both teachers and parents about it. And an automatic(自动)voice alarm will go off as long as a student leaves school without permission(允许). A GPS system also follows a student’s movements once he has left the school.
Eleven schools in Guizhou have introduced the uniforms which are developed by Guizhou Guanyu Technology. But the company’s project manager said the school would not use the tracking system during out-of-school hours unless a pupil was missing. The project manager said that fewer and fewer students had been absent from school since the uniforms were used in some schools.
However, the uniforms have also been criticized. “If you were a child, would you like to be watched 24 hours a day?” One Weibo user asked. “Don’t children have human rights and privacy(隐私)?” Added another user.
A headmaster in Guizhou said that although teachers were able to track students at all times, they actually don’t use this technology often.
