Sam’s school has a fair this Saturday. Sam looks for some useful things to sell at the fair.

First, he looks at his CDs and thinks, “No, they’re my favorite.” Next, he looks at his shoes, but they’re too old. Then he asks his family for new things. Mom bakes (烘焙) nice bread. Dad makes a new model plane. Aunt Sally gives Sam a blue hat and Grandpa buys some clothes for him.

On Saturday, Sam takes all these things to the school fair. Kate, Sam’s classmate and cousin is at the fair, too.

“How much is the blue hat, Sam?” Kate asks.

“Ten dollars,” Sam says.

“OK, I’ll take it,” Kate says.

After the fair, Kate comes back home and says, “Happy birthday, Mom. Here is a hat for you.”

“Thank you, my dear... The hat looks nice. Is it from Sam’s stall (摊位)?” Kate’s mom Sally asks.

“Yes, Mom. How do you know that?” Kate asks.

“Haha. It’s because Sam got it from me,” Sally says.
