“Not as good as you think,” I joked. But Dad disagreed with me. “Let’s go next weekend,” Dad said. “This will probably not go off completely as planned,” my little brother, Paul, said. I laughed and replied, “But it will surely be fun.”
I started to think back. Once Dad decided we should all learn to canoe (划独木舟). We borrowed two canoes from our friends and drove to a lake. Alone in the middle of the lake, we found that we forgot to take the paddles (桨). Hours later, we all jumped in the lake and pushed the canoes back. It was a fantastic trip.
Another time, Dad decided we should all learn to ski. All of us hate the cold so we spent the weekend around the fire in the hotel, drinking hot coco and playing board games (棋类游戏). It was great.
When I stopped daydreaming, Mom said, “Sweetheart, we don’t have a tent.” “We don’t need one!” Dad said happily. “We’ll take all the seats out of the car.”

10 . There is an old saying:“Take the time to stop and smell the flowers.” I think we should also take the time to plant flowers.
My grandmother knew just how to do that. She grew flowers with soil, water and love, so her back garden was filled with beautiful flowers. She would smile when she saw the sunshine down on them. In her front garden she planted flowers, too. You could see red, white, and yellow flowers in it. My mom and I used to walk around them and enjoy their smells. Beautiful butterflies (蝴蝶) flew down on them. Grandma also cared for the wild flowers. She would send my brother and me out to pick flowers and would then turn those flowers into delicious wine (酒).
Grandma not only planted flowers in the gardens but also planted flowers in our hearts. Her delicious dinners made with love encouraged us. Her sweet smiles always made us happy. Her hugs (拥抱) and kisses were the sunshine that kept our own love growing day after day.
Take the time to plant a few flowers yourself today. Show your smiles, kindness and love. Plant your wishes, talents and pleasure. Make this world brighter and brighter with your sunshine.
