This robot writer is real. It’s called ChatGPT. US company OpenAI made it. It can talk with people, write songs, poems and even jokes. It’s one of the most powerful AI writers.

ChatGPT can write things really fast. We may spend hours researching, understanding and writing a long passage. But ChatGPT can write a good one in seconds. But if you ask bad questions, such as how to make weapons (武器), it will not give you a answer.

ChatGPT comes along at a time when AI can do many creative tasks. The things they create are difficult to tell from those made by humans. This brings many problems, such as the definition (定义) of art. The robot uses words from the Internet, so it can also pick up wrong ideas about certain groups. These are all the things that humans need to solve.

4 . At the Beijing Olympic Games, a man in traditional clothes sat and played a seven-string (弦) instrument. It is a guqin.

Guqin, a kind of traditional Chinese instrument, can date back to the Zhou Dynasty. At first, guqin’s name was “qin”. As many western instruments came into China, people added the “gu” to it, meaning “ancient”. The history of guqin started from 3,000 years ago.

In ancient time, guqin was an important part of Chinese culture. But not everyone could play it. Only the rich people could play it.

Many ancient Chinese stories are about it. For example, the saying “high mountains and running water” describes (描述) the true friendship between Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi. Their friendship came from their common understanding of guqin music.

Guqin has three kinds of sounds: Sanyin, Fanyin and Anyin. All these sounds have a sense of peace. The Chinese believe that guqin has included all the beautiful sounds in the world.

5 . The Egyptian Pyramids (埃及金字塔) are really something special. They have a history of four to five thousand years. Every year millions of tourists from all over the world travel there.

6 . Now satellites are helping to forecast (预报) the weather. They are in space, and they can reach any part of the world. The satellites take pictures of the atmosphere (大气), because this is where the weather forms (形成). They send these pictures to the weather stations. From the pictures, meteorologists (气象学家) can often say how the weather will change.

Today, nearly more than one hundred weather stations in over ninety countries receive satellite pictures. When they receive new pictures, the meteorologists compare them with earlier ones. Perhaps they may find that the clouds have changed during the last few hours. This may mean that the weather on the ground may soon change, too. In their next weather forecast, the meteorologists can say this.

So the weather satellites are a great help to the meteorologists. Before satellites were invented, they could forecast the weather for about 24 or 48 hours. Now they can make good forecasts for two weeks. Soon, perhaps, they may be able to forecast the weather for fifteen days or more ahead (提前).

How to reduce stress

Learn to relax. Overwork (过量工作) is the main reason why so many students feel tired and stressed. Cut down some of the work you need to do each day so that you can do the most important things well.     1     This might mean reading a good book, listening to music, going for a walk and taking a relaxing shower.

Get a good night’s sleep.     2     If you stay up late and need to get up early for school the next day, you may not be able to concentrate (集中注意力) on the things you need to do.

Do exercise and eat well. Don’t rush through your meals.     3     Eat health y food instead. And try to do exercise often.

    4     Some people are optimistic (乐观的), while others are not. Choose optimistic people as your friends and spend more time with them and you will be as happy as they are.
