To our surprise, the elephant became the most famous animal star in 2021. If you are an animal lover, an event that happened in 2021 must catch your eye. Several elephants got away from their traditional habitat (栖息地) in Xishuangbanna and began traveling north.
In order to make sure they returned to their natural habitat and protect local people, a scientific research team and an “elephant protection group” were created to reply to the situation. To protect their journey to the south, experts used drones (无人机) to watch the elephants for 24 hours every day. Local people widened roads for them to pass safely and helped them stay away from dangerous areas with food. Finally, these elephants managed to find the way and return home safely.
