March 16 is National Panda Day in the United States. Last year, the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, DC, used the day to celebrate the 50th anniversary (周年) of the first two giant pandas coming into its care. The celebration would last six months.
In 1972, the US president (总统) Richard Nixon and his wife, Pat, made a historic visit to China. On her second day in the country, Pat went to the Beijing Zoo to see pandas. Summer is right around the corner. In the city of Blackpool on the English coast, that means good times at the zoo. They have a lot of different animals.
There’s lots to see, lots to do, lots of fun for the family including snacks—burgers, barbecue, even noodles. And all those become one animal’s delicious food—one that’s not part of the Blackpool Zoo—Seagull (海鸥).

Elephants World in Thailand is a place for more than 30 old or sick elephants. When Paul Barton from England first heard about it, he wanted to do more than just visit the animals.
