2 . Knoebels
Knoebels is often an award winner for its attractions, but the food is the real star to many. Knoebels prices everything as if the clock had stopped in 1982.You won’t believe the cost of many menu items and will feel charged too much at any theme park that you visit after this one. The park even employs the old-timey ticket system where you pay only for the rides that you want rather than a general admission price.
Kennywood
Kennywood began as a trolley(无轨电车)park, a place where guests were encouraged to visit trolley lines, even on the weekend when the services weren’t needed. These social gatherings involved picnics and various forms of entertainment. Several of the rides today are older than you and possibly even your grandparents.
Luna Park
Luna Park is the home of the Coney Island Cyclone, the greatest roller coaster(过山车)of the early 20th century. You can take a ride on the same roller coaster from the William Taft administration. While New Yorkers of a certain age know this place as Astroland, which operated from 1962 through 2008, the present name is fit for its heritage(遗产)and importance in theme park history.
Hersheypark
Hersheypark has a decided candy emphasis, but you’ll find more than just sweets here. Some of the attractions are very wonderful. Skyrush was one of the first winged coasters on the planet and is still the tallest and fastest ride at the park. In total, the park has 14 roller coasters,15 water rides, and a bunch of attractions that date back 50 years or more.

4 . A Goodwill employee finds $42,000 in donated clothing and returns it to the owner.
The discovery came during a regular day on the job as Andrea Lessing, a goodwill employee, was performing her routine quality examination on closing items on the sales floor. As she pulled out two sweaters tied together from a donation box, she felt something heavy left. She first assumed the items were just books. When she pulled the sweaters apart, to her astonishment, she found lots of envelopes filled with $100 bills. The cash was in $100 bills and totaled $ 42,000 dollars.
Andrea Lessing is used to discovering unique treasures in the varied collection of donated items her store receives daily. She always tries to be a good example to her daughter, so she immediately did the right thing and reported the cash finding. Luckily, the store's manager was then able to locate and return the money to the donator who had mistakenly placed the cash in the wrong box.
Andrea, mother of a six year old girl, admitted it was hard for her to do with that much money. Some might have thought that it was Andrea's lucky day, having a small fortune. However, the temptation to keep the cash by herself was just a passing thought. Andrea's honest nature inspired her to do the right thing.
Without hesitation, she handed the cash over to the store's manager so they could find the right owner. Andrea was not expecting a reward, but the owner of the money surprised her with a 1000 reward. Andrea was teary eyed and overcome with joy as her “good deed” flowed right back to her. She plans to spend part of the reward money on a memorable birthday party for her daughter.

6 . Beatrice De Lavalette developed a passion for horse-riding when she turned 3. However, in the spring of 2016, 17-year- old De Lavalette was waiting for a flight when she got hit by a bombing at Brussels airport. Along with serious burns, De Lavalette lost both legs below the knee. Yet she said if it weren’t for the event, she wouldn’t be the person to join in the Paralympic Games(残奥会) in Tokyo.
Getting back in the saddle(马鞍) was no easy work because of her injuries. However, five months after the bombing, thanks to her courage, determination-and further treatment and training---that’s exactly where she was. “I had no muscle, I was just skin and bones, so being back on the saddle with no sense of balance was really uncomfortable. But with time, I was able to build up the muscle and work on my balance,” she said.
Unsurprisingly, De Lavalette was depressed as she tried to come to make peace with her injuries. She got lots of help and encouragement from her family, friends and the doctors, but she still couldn’t pick herself up. She cried a lot in the hospital until an unexpected visitor, her beloved horse, DeeDee, turned things around for her. “DeeDee saved my life,” Beatrice said. Adjusting to her disabled body was, in many ways, like having to learn to ride all over again. And the Paralympics offered a perfect chance to show her hard-earned skills. “I can’t change what happened, but I can still achieve my dream. As I have said many times, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. What else is there to say? There are no ‘What ifs’. I have a new life in front of me,” Beatrice said, “What’s important is that I’m alive and I feel that I will do something great with my life. ” We’d say that she already has.

7 . The Nautilus expedition to the Cayman Islands
Hi! I’m Talita and this is my blog! Enjoy!
Day 1: August 15th
Wow! I can’t believe I’m actually here on Nautilus. I’m one of five very lucky students chosen to go on Nautilus’s four-day expedition (探险) to the Cayman Islands. We had a talk from the expedition leader Dr. Katy Croff Bell, about where we’re going and what we’ll be doing. Oh, and all the safety rules as well, of course!
Day 2: August 16th
What an amazing day! In the morning, we met Dr. Robert Ballard, who discovered the wreck (残骸) of the Titanic! After lunch, we had a tour around Nautilus. We looked at the labs, and we went up to the bridge — that’s where the captain of the ship works. I even got a chance to guide the ship! Later we learned about Hercules. This robot is sent deep into the sea to look for shipwrecks, to study the plants and animals, and to look at the rocks in an area.
Day 3: August 17th
This morning we appeared on the Nautilus Live website and talked to students around the world about our expedition. It was amazing — I feel like a real famous person now! The afternoon was NOT cool, however. There was a big storm, and we all felt very seasick!
Day 4: August 18th
This morning was beautiful, and the sea was peaceful. Perfect for a dive. Unfortunately, it was Hercules, not us, who got to go diving. In the afternoon, we arrived at Grand Cayman. Although I’m sad to leave the Nautilus team (especially Hercules), I’m excited to explore the islands and the waters!
