Last Sunday, I watched the amazed FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup on TV. I jumped with joy as the Chinese team win the championship with eleven straight victory. The success is a timely but inspiring birthday gift to our country. Besides, it makes I understand the spirit of the Chinese women’s volleyball team — never give up, particular in difficult situations. This spirit dates back to early 1980s. At that time, young Lang Ping attracted the entire nation attention with her excellent performances on the court. Ever since then, almost four decades have been witnessed the rise and fall of the Chinese team. However, the spirit has inspired one generation to another, both within the team and across the country.
5 . Simone Biles is widely considered to be the greatest gymnast of all time. In America, she is the "face" of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. When the games began, she was expected to win five gold medals.
But she withdrew from the team final. She made the choice after her vault in the competition's first round. She later said her mind was not in the right place to let her safely perform the difficult moves. In other words, her mind was not letting her body do what it needed to do. So, she made the decision to protect her mental health and give her teammates a better chance at winning a medal.
Biles is not the only Olympian in recent months to talk about the pressure and mental effects of competing at the highest level. Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka decided not to compete at the French Open earlier this summer. She said she made that decision to protect her mental health.
This week, Osaka lost in the second round of Olympic competition. She said she felt extreme pressure to win for Japan.
Many Olympic athletes have discussed the stress they have felt. COVID-19 has greatly changed the way the Games are being held. Liz Cambage is a top basketball player for Australia. She left her team one week before the start of the Games because she was worried about entering the Olympic "bubble" in Tokyo without the support of her friends and family.
The IOC, or International Olympic Committee, said it is paying more attention to the mental health of athletes. The IOC said it has websites and phone numbers athletes can call if they need help with a mental health problem.

One of the big reasons why people drop an exercise program are lack of interest. If that you’re doing isn’t fun, it’s hard to keep it up. When pick the right type of exercise, consider our workout personality. For an example, do you like to work out alone? If so, solo sports like running or biking could be for you. Or do you like the sharing motivation and companionship that comes for being part of a team? Then school sports and club teams are great ways to stay actively with others.
Do remember the great thing is that it’s never too late start.

I like running. Ever since I am in third grade, I have been trained as a long-distance runner. Last year I decided run in a ten-kilometer race, for which I practiced hard. At the day of the race, I ran fast than I ever had in the past. When I approached to the last kilometer, I was one of the first runner to finish. I picked up the pace and quick reached second place. With all my strength, I went dashing to the finish line, and I wasn’t fast enough. As the result, I got a silver medal, that I thought was the same as the one that the guy who came in first place had.
