3 . Strawberry U-Pick at the Boyd Farm
Strawberry U-Pick Season is starting! For now, we are open Monday to Friday from 10 a. m. to 3: 30 p. m. and every weekend from 9 a. m. to 5: 30 p. m. !
Not only do we have our u-pick strawberry fields, we also have fresh produce, prepicked strawberries, snacks and other farm goodies for you to buy. We also have lots of fun activities for the family—hayride with the cows, horse ride, animals to pet and feed, swings, slide, sand pile, corn hole, corn pile and more!
AdmissionAdmission is $5/person (3 and under free)

Important information

★We recommend sunscreen / hat / water / closed-toed shoes!

Horizon School Peru
We are a non-profit organization based in Trujillo, Peru. We provide free English classes for the surrounding area by giving tutoring classes in our building and teaching in a public school. We believe that providing these free English classes can help the community get themselves out of poverty. By learning English, people here will be able to have more job opportunities.
As a volunteer, you will teach English both in Horizon and at a local public school. There’s also an opportunity to explore Trujillo and the local beach town. 7 . Total Solar Eclipse 2023 Australia
One of nature’s most remarkable event — a total solar eclipse (日蚀) — will take place on the we stem edge of Australia on April 20th, 2023 and we have chosen the perfect way for you to enjoy this event: on a cruise (航游) at sea.
There have been only five total solar eclipse in Australia over the past century and this is the first hybrid eclipse in more than 1000 years. Unlike other cruises for this event, ours has the well-known astronomer Abigail Beall to accompany you. You will have the best possible view of the event as well as enjoying lectures and stargazing on land and at sea. Abigail will be on hand throughout, giving lectures on the history and science of eclipses, the black hole at the centre of the galaxy — along with providing many opportunities for guided stargazing. 10 . First Year Learning Communities in University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (UTSC)
First Year Learning Communities, also known as “FLCs”, are groups of students from similar programs of study. FLCs focus on building community and working together to build skills for success.
Why Join?
First Year Learning Communities help first-year students to make connections within their program of study while developing academic, career and personal skills. Each year, past participants tell us how the program helped them to get to know their classmates, faculty, staff, and alumni. Students also tell us that the program helped them be familiar with university and enhance their university experience.
About the Program
FLCs meet every two weeks for FLC Meetings, facilitated by their upper-year FLC Leaders. FLCs are divided by program of study, with a maximum of 40 students in each FLC. There is no cost for participating in this program.
The program will begin in early September and will run until April 30. FLC Meetings will take place on campus and in-person. FLC programming may include off-campus trips, special events, and virtual events.
Application Dates & Deadlines
The formal application period will run from June 1 to September 1. Applicants will be notified of their status by September 3.

Applying After the Deadline
Students may continue to apply after the application deadline and throughout the school year. Should you apply outside of this period, you will be added to our waiting list and notified if spaces come available.
Eligibility
To participate in this program, you must be an undergraduate, UTSC student in your first year at U’TSC. Transfer students and students with transfer credits are welcome and encouraged to apply.
