Running for more than 20,000 kilometers, the Great Wall is a historical landmark of unparalleled glory, but climbing     1     is hard work. Not everyone has the strength or     2     (determine)to climb its tall steps and steep slopes (斜坡), while only a handful may have the special skills to     3     (physical) participate in the restoration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The documentary film The Magical Craftsmanship of Suzhou, featuring Chinese intangible cultural heritages, was launched in Australia and New Zealand on July 28, 2022. Celebrating Chinese New Year overseas is a completely different experience. 6 . During the Lantern Festival, long lines of customers are waiting outside Daoxiangcun stores in the capital city Beijing. "I feel I'm missing something     1     I don't eat yuanxiao during the Lantern Festival. Shi Yan, the company's representative manager, said, “All     7     (we) yuanxiao are handmade, because it is the only way to maintain the traditional flavor.”

During Chinese New Year, money is put inside red envelopes which are then handed out to     1     (young) generations by their parents, grandparents, relatives and even close neighbors and friends. At some     2     (company), workers may also receive a year-end cash bonus     3     (fold) inside a red envelope. Red envelopes are also popular gifts for birthdays and weddings. Red symbolizes luck and good fortune in Chinese culture. That is     4     red envelopes are used during Chinese New Year     5     other celebratory events.

The receiver of a red envelope at Chinese New Year or on his or her birthday should not open it in front of the     6     (give). However, the procedure is different at Chinese weddings, where there is a table at     7     entrance of the wedding reception where guests give their red envelopes to attendants and sign their names on a large scroll. They will     8     (immediate) open the envelope, count the money inside, and record it on a register next     9     the guests' names.

The money inside a red envelope should always be new and crisp. Folding the money or giving dirty or wrinkled bills is in bad taste. Coins and checks     10     (avoid) the former because change is not worth much and the latter because checks are not widely used in Asia.
